Shoaib Akhtar was thriller for batsman. Brett Lee made pace bowling look so easy and beautiful to watch. But there was another great bowler in that generation Shane Bond from New Zealand, he was a genuine pace bowler.

Brett Lee was the genuine fast bowler with almost clean action. And he had far better stats than Shoaib Akhtar. Also Shabby had allegations of chucking many times in his career. Brett Lee consistently bowled with 95 mph. However , Shane Bond had the perfect bowling action without iota of chucking.

Brett has always said that.... he is humble! The record books says that 1 delivery by Shoaib was quickest but Lee's average was much quicker! 👌 plus Brett was very concious about his fitness, Shoaib not so much

Allan Donald also agreed and said he was the meanest and fastest around. That’s no discredit to Lee who was a PROPER quick and far more professional, and really only slightly slower. But objectively and in reality, Shoaib was most certainly the quickest without question.
