Brett, amazing content as always. Have you ever seen a LB that wasn't a film room junkie in college, and that mostly relied on physical ability, develop instincts in the NFL? I honestly don't remember a single example. You can correct tackling technique, you can bulk up and get better at taking on blockers (Lewis' biggest flaw in college), but I don't see how someone who's regularly missing gaps and assignments, and who doesn't have a great feel for the game, suddenly develop as a top tier LB. This is an honest question. I know he's only played as a LB for 3 years, but do you think these issues are correctable, and are there any examples that show they are?

Hey Brett, what do you think about him going to the Chiefs? Twenty nine is probably too late to get him (probably- I mean, I don't know), but they have Houston next year (probably) and they picked up Matt House from Kentucky as their linebackers coach earlier this month. Also, they really really need middle linebacker help. But, like you said, his tackling technique isn't totally "there", and a for-sure tackler is what the Chiefs really really need.
@couchcaptain93795 жыл бұрын
The major concern that I have with him is the high shoulder tackle technique. It's really easy for a strong RB to shake off a high tackle. If he can fix that, he'll be legendary, if not....he'll be out of the league in 3 years max.
