He’s just the most well rounded defender in the league. The cowboys drafted a DE, LB and DB if they need him to cover slots, RBs and TEs

I think these breakdowns of players or plays are what Brett excels at. (In fact, what I like the very most are play breakdowns that train me to identify them in real time.) Sometimes he likes to do predictions, playbook dives or long discussions... If he wants to, okay, but I hope he never gets too far away from the format that made him big. [You can see a ton of work goes into this 20-minute format, but for the audience, the result is perfect.]

...Some people are big picture experts, and others excel at details. I think a risk lies in expecting deeper and deeper details to add up to a better big picture. As I very successful gambler, I believe that's not how it works. I find a mid-level depth of focus to be the most productive in terms of time and attention. What I (and many) appreciate is a level of focus deeper than what fits into a game broadcast, but not so involved as to lose sight of the big picture, or make my leisure feel like work.

As a Giants fan it's very upsetting to me that Parsons is everything a lot of people thought he would be. I understand him having to live with constant comparisons to LT if we drafted him but it seems that was something he was prepared to deal with both in his on field performance and personality. Hey Brett, Jamin Davis says hello.. And Zaven Collins, and Cam Mcgrone. Lol. We all miss, but I will never understand how you watch Parsons, just his movement and violence alone and talk about his mental processing on a position he's just learned. He was dominant at 19 years old. Usually works out. Good call on J.O.K tho. He's been excellent as well

Sometimes really raw players get to the league and just take huge leaps like Parsons, and sometimes raw players end up being very inconsistent like Tremaine Edmunds. It’s tough to know which one you’re gonna get once they are in the league when evaluation is all about upside.

There are very few linebackers that have real sideline to sideline speed. Combine that with good pash rushing ability and you have a matchup nightmare. He will have a great career. Will be interesting to see what role he settles into as a veteran when he loses a step or two.

10:30 Everson Griffen does this and is a master of the spin move. He did this earlier this year actually. Everyone always sleeping on my man Griffen

“What is Parson’s role?” The answer Yes, his role is do this, and he does it. As a Cowboys fan, I already love him. I hope he somehow gets even better in season 2.

I just want to take a minute to acknowledge Brett's attention to details. Putting in the context of Parsons vs. the Giants being in a 20-44 game.... shows that in that particular instance, Parsons may have been benefitting from playing a weak team in a tough spot.

Brett talking about the 2013 Seahawks defense made me want Dan Quin and Parsons on my team.😐
