Dear Papa Stash, I love your videos! I am conducting my own symphony orchestra. And am teaching myself the amplified guitar, step by step! lol Growing up in the UK, I grew up with the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Status Quo etc. So to be able to play all the bands I so loved as a teenager is so FUN, AMAZING. I would love to mail you a concert recorded for TV, scheduled for next summer in AUGUST, in Spain, where I will publicly perform for the first time together with my symphony orchestra on the electric guitar, will rock the socks of my all too STRICTLY classical colleagues around the globe, in my orchestra play several instrumentalists and soloist from several countries all around the globe! lol FEEL like a teenager again!!!!!!! As a kid we just imagined to play a soccer match, more popular here in Europe than the Super Bowl! giving us the names of the "stars" of the game, then!!! Living outside of the box is always very inspiring! And offering many lessons to learn! Maybe you can imagine what it means to perform like a pop/rock guitarist in conditions where we so far only performed in a tuxedo on special occasions, famous concert halls etc. A very few friends, who I told about this idea/plan quite frankly speaking call me "Andrew Gaga" --- but if that so thats fine with me. At the end of the day, WE ALL LOVE music in one way or the other! Bless you, both of you, for making this video!!! Andrew

This was a great one! That "Over-ring" is a great term for what I think Tom Bukovac does so well in his playing. He has little chord fragments ringing all the time... as he moves to other bass notes or melodies etc. That's what I'm working on. We need a whole course on that kind of stuff! There's not much out there.

Seems to be the direction my guitar playing is headed...I look at the fretboard as patterns, but I'm am trying to figure out and fill in spaces, it all makes sense to me...Just gotta memorize....I recently learned the modes of the scale and that is helping for sure. Thanks for the informative videos, and I like the way the play rhythm!( Love the Hendrix isims...)He was such a big influence to me that I don't even notice all the isims anyone when I play but people point it out to me sometimes....

Bret PLEASE HELP. At 5:15,, E dominant scale. What tha? Can you or anyone explain. Thanks
@ZackSeifMusic5 жыл бұрын
Rowen170 E F# G# A B C# D E Or you can vary it a bit based on what chords you’re playing over. Basically it’s an E Dominant Chord (E G# B D) and you fill in the notes from the A major scale since E is the dominant chord in the Key of A. So it’s an A Major scale starting on E. Also known as E Mixolydian. Hope that’s what you were asking and makes a little sense and helps out!
