Being a Brevard resident I can sincerely ask that those of you who are tourists and not from here. Please pick up your garbage and obey the forest laws. We don't mind having you visit the beauty of this place, but leave it as you've found it please.
@badassbenny10102 жыл бұрын
I agree where ever a tourist goes to pick up trash. Not friendly vibes. Reminds me of Astoria Orgeon, if your not from that area, even for 2 decades you are a new Comer and don't fit in. I would say not thank you. Environment is great about the people, the community that makes the town. Gorgeous because, God did it all. My daughter loves squirrels and we have not heard of a white squirrel that got left from a carnival. Whoops! Left some baggage. How town's and cities grow. Not into smug hateful attitudes towards others.

I have went to Brevard for 3 years straight now. Every time I go I feel like it's my first time there. Everything there is so relaxing. My favorite part about it is the fact that the waterfalls and mountain views aren't that far away, matter of fact, just down the road from the house I stay at there is a waterfall. Every year I go I have to go to Pretty Place and Living Waters. If anybody that sees this ever goes to Brevard, I definitely recommend Pretty Place.

Relatable! When we live away from the mountains for a long time we’re just happy with any big hill we see, much less waterfalls. 😊 but then when we live in the mountains and visit Florida with the tropical vibes, wildlife and crystal clear water we’re in awe too.

Brevard was good back in the mid 90s when i was in high school. No tourists all the waterfalls to your self. Plenty of times going up to turtle back falls by myself. Swimming, Falling asleep on the rocks only to be woken up by a rain storm and absolutely not 1 person coming down the the falls...

Hello from Too HOT Texas. So my wife and I knew nothing about NC, still don’t really. She found something on the internet about Brevard and we are planning a Labor Day trip there. If things go as well as we think, we will move out there in about 5 years to retire. I was very concerned that I might be making a bad decision but your video really helps me out. When we are about a year away, we plan on a trip and living a couple months in an airbnb just to make the final decision. I think we will come around 4 times a year before that. It looks terrific though. Thanks for the video.

Some of the Brevard family of North Carolina in the 1700s are in my family tree. Margaret Brevard was the daughter of Robert and Sarah (Craig) Brevard. She was born in 1754 in Rowan County and she is my 5th great-grandmother. She married John Huggins in 1772. I didn't know there was a town with their last name, but it must be named after the family. I know they were a big family, and early to North Carolina. I hope to come back there and travel around, and see the places my ancestors lived so long ago.

They have a small hospital here, but if its anything serious you have to go to Asheville, and THAT hospital has a terrible reputation. I had open heart surgery there and had 2 phone chargers stolen by staff. Brevard has plenty of primary cares, but specialists are low quality and pul have to travel regularly to Asheville for doctor appointments. Most of your shopping will have to be done in hendersonville or Asheville. Brevard has a ingles and food lion. One belks and one pitiful Walmart. Mostly its fast food restaurants and some cute shops on main st. Thete are lots of food banks, a homeless shelter and soup kitchen. Lots of drug addiction and homelessness. Not really the best place to spend the rest of your life. And because it's kinda mountainous, it takes a long time to go places. I have friends who live 30 miles away, and it takes them an hour and a half to get here.
