I bought this and like it but I agree. Milk spouts out. When using grinded coffee its hard to get the right grind in order for the machine not to ruin the coffee as it stores water at the top of portafilter which I believe does something to the coffee.

I wanted to move away from the "one touch" Tassimo macine I had into making "proper" coffee at home, but I couldn't really justify spending the money for a Sage (I'm in the UK) machine, so I bought the lesser Breville Barista Max Plus machine (partly based on your review last year). I'm sure it's nowhere near as good as the Sage ones, I'm under no illusion - but it seems to make a nice enough coffee for my liking. I tend to make espressos, cortados, flat whites or lattes and most of the time they're on a par with a "mainstream" coffee shop's offerings. You do get the odd rogue espresso that isn't great - but it's probably just as much my fault as the machine's! It's certainly been a good introduction into home barista-ing and I do enjoy the ritual part of the coffee making now. When this one dies, I will probably replace with a "real" Breville/Sage machine now I've got the hang of making espresso at home - but until that point I'll happily keep using my fake Breville 🙂😉

Wow that's terrible that they are banking on the Australian Breville brand to market a UK coffee machine which is more similar to the Aldi standard....

This is a great video but I feel you underage this inexpensive machine. I have just acquired one of these machines extremely cheaply, second hand but almost new and the older version. We have a more expensive machine but you have to steam the milk separately with a steam nozzle and it doesn’t give good results. It’s also a faff. I love a good cappuccino but our original machine was a bit hit and miss. After experimenting with the Breville for half an hour I now have the most sublime, consistent tasting coffee at each use. I love a hot cup of coffee and was amazed at how hot it was. I haven’t noticed any burnt taste. The froth is perfect. I’m extremely happy with the ease of use. For my perfect large cappuccino I use the large pod and one very slightly overfull scoop. I have the milk set at about 3/4 on the dial and press the cappuccino button twice. I then top up slightly with the manual espresso button. I would say to anyone to have the time and patience to really experiment to start with to obtain your own perfect coffee and then it’s plain sailing. This is a cheap and not very robust machine but I’m loving the results I’m getting from it.

I have Coffee house 2 and is absolutely great for the price. Cappucino is amazing and double dose is enough. I use Lavazza coffee crema gusto ❤❤❤ I recommend this device 👍

Thank you. I already have a Delonghi basket machine, but I'm currently experiencing mobility issues so cannot get to my machine. Unfortunately my partner won't attempt to use it, so need a properly automatic device. She wants a Krups machine, but I don't like the cost of their pods. So need a bean to cup machine. So looks like I'm looking st spending at least £300.

Hello Kev really enjoy watching your videos, keep up with the great content. I saw some mention to a 54mm cutter in one of your videos but I can't find it again. Could you please share the name of the tool or link please?

I actually bought this based on your vid because it was on a deal! Can you use a non pressurised basket on these machines if you bought aftermarket?

It doesn't matter if it's one touch or two touch, does it make good coffee that's what matters 🙂👌

Wouldn't you expect a machine actually called "one touch" to be a one touch machine, though? 😆

Is there a bottomless naked portafilter I can purchase that will fit the Breville One-Touch?

This is hilarious. It's a world away from what we normally associate with the name "Breville". Thanks for clarifying. It's neither Breville nor One Touch, rip

Hi there, I really could do with your help. My son enjoys a nice coffee in the mornings to give him a good start to the day. I was looking to buy a nice coffee machine for Christmas as his present. But man, is there so much information to consider from beans' lifespan the milk fraughter. Am I wasting my money and time if there is so much to consider, I was hoping to get something affordable, around €400/€600 I'm looking for an honest opinion, maybe if there is something you might give me a few suggestions. Great information in your videos. Thank you in advance

Do you know of any good troubleshooting sites for this model? Had this for 2 years the clean light came on but the milk heat light is not coming on. So can’t clean and can’t make Latte anymore. Thanks
