Manager of the yr should be Pat Murphy hands down no yelich starting pitching injuries great team effort this yr now magic number is now 3

@FUNYUN0987because his back was messed up and he had to have surgery? Right.
@EdsterIII2 ай бұрын
@FUNYUN0987Why exactly? Christian Yelich has been one of the biggest and most important players for the city of Milwaukee. He's invested so much money, his brother as well. Injuries happen. People like you whined about Yelich's production and he put that to rest. Now he has an injury and poof your whining again. You all did the same when Wily Adames was slumping. Trade him. Boo, blah blah, then he goes on a terror and has hit the most Homeruns of his career, the most RBI's of his career, and the most stolen bases of his career. You are cheap!

@@parsnip2699There is a SLIM chance he'll stay here. Granted it's very slim, but he likes it here, and considering the talented players, he couldn't find a better team to play for. But again slim, oh and our owner is a cheapskate.

This team may not have a A.Judge or a Shoei Otani, but what we do have is a group, a TEAM or 25+ guys who bust their butts every night. A manager who TRUSTS his players. A team who's defied the odds and every adversity that's come at them. Countless injuries, a decimated pitching staff, and their top player done for the season. Not to mention their closer was out for the first half of the season as well. This team, led by Wily Adames and William Contreras has been absolutely phenomenal throughout this season. Jackson Chourio, a 20 year old kid, the youngest player EVER to be in the 20/20 club. That's 20 Homeruns and 20 Stolen Bases. Wily Adames has beaten every offensive statistic in his career. Homeruns, Runs Batted In, and Stolen Bases. Brice Turang, Sal Frelick, Joey Ortiz, Tobias Myers, and a few other rookies, rookies playing like seasoned veterans. And being managed by a first year manager Pat Murphy. Nobody gave this team a chance or even a look. After losing Josh Hader during a playoff run, then losing Corbin Burnes the next season, everyone, sadly I'm including myself as well, never gave this team a prayer. However I and everyone else, we were WRONG! VERY VERY WRONG!! First of all the Josh Hader trade was unavoidable, as was the Corbin Burnes trade. Both players ego's had grown to epic proportions. Both set "rules" for when they pitched, how often, and how long, or how many innings they'd pitch. In the end they were more of a hindrance then a help. Besides given what they would sign for or want to sign for, not many teams could afford one much less both, so they might as well get something for them or out of them. I initially thought that they should have gotten much more for those two, especially Burnes, but again I was wrong. Joey Ortiz has been absolutely amazing. His defense has been absolutely phenomenal, his bat has gotten better and will get better. He's a rookie with unlimited potential. DL Hall's injury cut his run short but in his few appearances, he's already shown that he's also another player with a LOT OF POTENTIAL! One other player, Robert Gasser, sadly another injury cut his rookie run short as well, but he too showed that he also has unlimited potential. With all of the injuries, a pitching staff that looked like a M*A*S*H unit, they brought in a few players to help. Frankie Montas has been a great addition to this team. So has A.Civale. Both of these pitchers had a rough beginning, but since then they've settled down and have been absolutely phenomenal. Amazing Defensive plays, Homerun stealing catches, diving catches, sliding catches, leaping grabs, pin-point accurate throws to home plate, 3rd base, or 2nd base, and at times some of the best 2-Out hitting in ⚾️Baseball⚾️. I've loved and watched this team since 1974, I was 7 years old. I was blessed to have been able to watch and meet players like Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, Gorman Thomas, Ben Oglive, Jim Gantner, Charlie Moore, Lary Sorenson, Moose Haas, Billy Travers, Bob McClure, Rollie Fingers, Pete Vuckovich, Pete Ladd, Cecil Cooper, and my all-time favorite Brewers player, Mike Caldwell. Plus I got to meet Bob Uecker, who is as funny in person, even more so than in any Television role he played. Mr Baseball ⚾️ is truly one of a kind! And the Brewers are also One of a kind! They've been absolutely amazing! GO BREWERS GO!!

I've been stunned by how well this team has performed. 16 or 17 different starting pitchers? Our closer out for months, and other key injuries as well, yet not one time did Pat Murphy panic. He kept everyone on point and focused. He's trusted his guys, their speed, their abilities, and their unbelievably incredible defense. I've been saying since the All-Star break he should be the top pick for Manager of the Year. If he doesn't win it something is very very wrong with Baseball.

Living in Tucson, I hate to tell the Brewer fans but most people around here think the D-Backs and Padres are angling for the third wild card in order to play the Brewers. Neither are afraid of the Brewers. Remember that the D-Backs eliminated the Brewers last year on the way to the World Series.

Once again our outfielders rob another homerun. With the exception of those awful plays at 3rd base our defense is usually been absolutely amazing. I was never a huge Andrew Monastario fan. His batting is average at best. He's young but in a playoff race for the top spot or 2nd spot you really don't want to have a liability at 3rd base especially when you have a pretty good 3rd Baseman in Joey Ortiz. I don't like to trash any players, but maybe some he needs a little more seasoning in the Minors? Giving up 8 runs will normally be a loss, but thankfully the Bats were really crushing the ball tonight.
