You're not wrong at all, hes one of the best defensively in the MLB rn but thst play at home plate should have been a blocking call on Stubbs. He blocked the plate with his foot before he got the ball, the Brewers player would have easily got his hand in and scored and it would have completely changed the game

Im a brewers fan, they hay have been swept by the phillies but the Brewers played great ball, didnt give up more than 7 runs the entire series, always made it a close game. With all the injuries to the pitching staff and a young core lineup, the brewers are going to special

@@logansunderland5015It is because of Phillies pitching and good defense.It's not that the Phillies roll over them.All three games were close and could have gone either way.Realmuto's game 2 play is one example.That play didn't work Phils lose that game.Phillies fan here.

You are allowed to block once you catch the ball. And with the new rules this year, contreras should have been out for running on the infield grass (you only get the dirt now). But for some reason they made a new rule and decided no one will enforce it.

Brewers are the best team in a horrible division , the and I’ll Central is the weakest division and all of baseball! That play at home plate should be a run. How is the catcher gonna stick his leg out and completely block the runner from even touching home plate.
@Betteroffdead1
@Betteroffdead1 6 ай бұрын
I'll learn ya some knowledge incase maybe your new to MLB. First off the runner is not allowed to step foot in the infield grass on a play at the plate, Contreras took 4 full steps in the infield. That's an automatic out for him. So before the play at the plate even became a play he should have been out. Secondly a catcher has the right to block the place as soon as the ball enters his glove..Stubbs was above the line before having the ball and played that perfectly! Nothing wrong with the play besides the runner in fact.
