This is the first time I watch one of your videos. I have to say that I loved your style and I want to keep watching more of your stuff. Just a suggestion, it’s ok to use 1oz instead of .9oz

How long is your brew day with this setup? Can you break it down with just some rough times?
@TroubleBrewing2 жыл бұрын
Hey Bryan - Heating up strike and prep work - 1 hour. mash is - 1 hour. mash out - 30 minute. heat up to boil/sparge - 1 hour. boil - 1 hour chill/airate/pitch 30 minute. clean - 1 hour. So total 6 hours from start to finish? Active brew day though is about 4.

@@TroubleBrewing Thanks for the times, I haven’t heard anyone else talk about it with this system other than vague it takes a little longer. Do you find large grain bills to take substantially longer?
@TroubleBrewing2 жыл бұрын
@@Whoopsies12345 large grain bills dont make any difference really in time. There are things you can change to reduce time on brewing. ie - skip water chem/get your grains pre-milled/240v system or propane/no sparge/shorter mash time. Obviously changes can make impacts on efficiency's or cost though. Thats just what my brew day looks like. You can always do extract brewing - extract brewing you can skip the mash completely and just jump right into the boil.

@@TroubleBrewing Thanks for the info, I saw the times on their faq but wanted someone who has used it for their experience. I'm thinking about making the switch so my buddies can borrow the setup instead of lugging the traditional propane setup around.

Nice looking Hefeweizen, not a big fan of Hefeweizens yet.
