Love Brian Bennet he’s my Hero ever since I was a wee girl my Dad bought their greatest hits in the 70’s and mum would play them so we grew up listening to the Shadows his style of drumming is absolutely out of this world immaculately precise and I think he’s very very underated and would love to take this opportunity to Thank BRIAN for his Beautiful music and please keep bring us music my favourite is Warlord Love you Brian ❤

What a fantastic and interesting interview... I've listened to quite a lot of Brians work. My old drum teacher Chris Burrows (Crazy world of Arthur brown, circus, BBC sessions) was a big fan of his and one of his favourite drummers... And through him, I was lucky enough to then learn of Brian and his wonderful drumming. Yet another amazing drummer to your list. Great work Matty... "Top draw" interviewing. 🙌🏻👍🏻

Absolutely superb! A great interview! Brian has always been a drumming hero of mine. When I started playing aged about 14 / 15, the vast majority of fellow aspiring, keen eared, young up & coming teenage drummers would have been listening to Oasis, Nirvana, Blur etc. I was listening to The Shads. Nearly thirty years later, I'm still listening to The Shads, and still listening to Brian. There are rumours something may be happening next year; the 65th anniversary. For now... one can only but dream, and hope those rumours prove to be true. Last but not least, thank you Brian. Thank you very much for everything. PS I'm off now to listen to The Rise & Fall Of Flingel Bunt, Foot Tapper, Honorable Puff Puff, Drum Odyssey, Little B, and so many many many more.

Another terrific interview Matty. First time I saw Brian he was backing Marty Wild (pre Shadows) at the Ritz theatre Birkenhead and I was knocked out with his playing.

Absolutely a superlative drummer in my book. Watching some of his drum solos makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Correct me if I’m wrong But I don’t think there’s many drummers that can match him.

These guys are legends, up with Hal Blaine and Jim Gordon. What has happened to music? Quantifying drums, pitch correction .... It's technology that is subsuming creativity.
