I’ve been a Lions fan my whole life. I’m 30 years old. What makes Dan so special is he is unapologetically authentic and knows exactly how to treat his players being a former player in the league himself. Every player on that team would run through a brick wall and die on that field for their Coach. Pair that with a GM in Brad Holmes who has an incredible eye for talent acquisition. (Thanks Jacksonville for taking Travon Walker) with all that. The first year they were still 3-13-1. And 1-6 the following year. But the players bought in. And the talent increased. Now 4 years later you have a Super Bowl contender.

I am a Lions fan for over 50 years. I have seen some terrible coaching. The first thing that helped turn everything around for Detroit was Sheila taking over of the team from her mom. She then did the best hire in Lions history. She hired Chris Speilman as an advisor. He was the one who decided on the Brad Holmes & Dan Campbell hires. If not for his knowledge and connections around the NFL i believe to this day that Detroit would still be SOL(same old Lions)

Some random dude, regardless of position, that will never equate to how great DHop ever was or still is?? We don't make winning moves with this franchise, its like a curse. Your half time changes are the worse in the NFL by the stats, that hasn't changed. Dude look in the mirror and start with yourself . Then start with the terrible OC, adapting him out the door. And then adapt the special teams coach out the door. Stop sacrificing the players for something that ain't 100% on them

Y'all shouldn't quit on your HC. I'm a Lions fan. Our HC came into a team with a losing culture and minimum talent on the roster. Year 1 record 3-13-1. They had a terrible start, but Dan and our GM Brad had a vision and stuck to their plan. They work in unison. Dan, in year 2, we started 1-6 but kept preaching and creating a culture. Our owner had to come out publicly in support of Dan. So, they start 1-6 and finish 9-8 with an 8-2 record in the last 10 games and still Dan kept preaching culture. Last year, we went 12-5 lose in the NFCC and Dan still talked about culture. This year, we start 5-1 Dan talks about "how we are built." Obviously, it's from the culture he helped the players buy into. So, after the Minnesota game, Dan,in the locker room, says, "we are hardened for games like these." It doesn't happen overnight. The losses suck. I get it. You know what doesn't suck? When the coach has the time to implement the identity and slowly, but surely you start seeing your team turn the corner. Callahan is going to be good for y'all. He deserves more support.
