My Husband and I are front row center for the Brian Culbertson concert in five days at Berks Jazz Fest our third year in a row at one of his concerts. Brian Culbertson is THE BEST PERFORMER we have ever seen and my Husband was a professional trombonist, who graduated from Towson State Magna Cum Lauda with a degree in Music Performance. My Husband actually played backup to Liberace, Cher, Patti La Belle, Sammi Davis Jr. and others. This You Tube video NEVER gets old one of the best you will ever witness!!!

what did you like about it? I think, in general, the tunes are very simplistic . Perfect when you have to spend time in an elevator full of people going up to 25 floor or so.

Me too, I just keep coming back, this is the best video concert. My Husband was a professional trombonist by no longer plays. We love Brian Culbertson and have seen him live several times at Berkshire Jazz Fest, we saw his debut of FUNK there it was awesome. I play his album FUNK all the time in my convertible wit him the top down just a HAPPY PLACE!

Sorry about misspellings, it is Berks Jazz Fest, in Reading, PA, but COVID made the last time we had tickets to see Brian and had our tickets for over a year for that concert which was canceled because of COVID but supposedly honored the next year only our Brian Culbertson tickets weren't Brian Culbertson and we had great seats but in 2021, we didn't get to see Brian, these were the Most Expensive tickets we had and I had to listen to Boney James's instead, who isn't bad, But, NOT THE SHOWMAN THAT BRIAN CULBERTSON IS. We had tickets for two other concerts as well that were honored and with the performers we had paid to see, who are favorites as well. But Brian Culbertson is our very favorite performer and Ticketmaster sucks, no warning beforehand probably because we would have requested a REFUND, for the Boneyard James Substitution.

Indeed. He's one of those that aren't cheesy tbh. Smooth Jazz has been plagued with mediocrity and cheesiness these days. He's managed to maintain a signature and original sound. Like I can tell that it's Brian Culbertson on the keys etc when a song comes by.

just happened to come across Brian's band show in germany, existed for some years ago, on youtube. wow@!!, what a great funky jazz band I'd ever heard. every musician was great in their own instruments performed in every song. brian & sax player were exceptionally outstanding !! by the way, noticed that the final number, "our love", the song brian wrote for his wedding, had a flinch of bruce hornsby's melodic tune in the intro before diving into brian's own sweet interpretation until the end. what a brillian, bad, virtuoso group of contemporary jazz musicians of this century @@!!! love you guys & wish that you guys could some day come visit & perform for us funky jazz lovers in bangkok, thailand.
