It wasn't just his power. It was his timing, defensive positioning (watch how he blocked Spence's jab with his left hand) counter punching, footwork, balance, vision and ability to set traps. Crawford put on one of the best displays of the sweet science ever seen in a boxing ring.

After I left Dave and Busters, and before the fight I called Bud tonight and throughout the last couple of months. They key Bud's footwork and ring IQ. Bud's footwork caused Spence to miss judge distance and as a result Spence kept lunging and swinging at air. Bud gave Spence so many feints that it confused Spence. I always knew Bud had power the moment he set Spence on his ass in the early round, I knew then it was a wrap. Not too mention Bud's wrestling fundamentals which he used to redirect the momentum of Spence, he even tested Spence's eye. Man down, Opps my bad, hands down Bud deserved the win.

Good point brian, 15-16 months off. It’s a point i’ve been making for over 3 days. Not the time off, but the fact that the negotiations back in november ‘22 was a failure (no guarantee, 60-40 split and no transparency) and bud walk and fought for $10m. More importantly bud got a fight to keep sharp while spence didn’t. So my point was regarding the difference in time off, will anyone blame the pbc/haymon for not nickel an diming bud and causing the extended time off. Bud was serious, he said he wanted to fight in ‘22, the pbc thought, no we’re negotiating and pushing the fight into ‘23. At the time spence had a more recent fight than bud, months, instead of bud who was almost a year off. Spence would’ve been sharper. Will anyone question or blame the pbc?

Bud was just a good bit stronger. and when a man has been blackballed for a long time costing him a lot of money, he wants to finally prove himself and above all else make some good money. I mean Bud is kinda well off but he will now make some of those Mayweather paydays. Bud is now the A side by the way and the cash cow, Tank is the same at 140.

Spence needs to stay away from Crawford for now until he leans some more fundamentals. Him being bigger won’t get it.

Spence is good fighter. Sad it wasn’t his night. The better man won.
@bazil738 Жыл бұрын
Fighting 1x a year doesn’t keep you sharp in my opinion. Spence was completely outgunned and didn’t have the IQ to figure Crawford out. Derrick James has to become a complete trainer NOW!

It wasn’t the power cause Spence was eating the punches, it was his timing. Timing beats power.

Need power to be effective with your timing, Crawford has power

Dude…….. It was Terence’s power! He’s very strong!!!!!!!!
@raycutler2524 Жыл бұрын
Spence was wobbly from the punches and he got tko'ed, it was definitely the power. Spence can beat Crawford, he just needs to be at 100% for this man, Spence did not look 100% AT ALL! He looked so high at the beginning of the fight
@djknockinbeats5092 Жыл бұрын
Spence couldn't move him, Bud told him he was solid like a rock. Told Spence that he wouldn't get broken down. The opposite happened. Spence tried to smoke on some Bud, and it was too potent and got put to SLEEP!!!

I agree I feel like based on what I saw Crawford would’ve won regardless stylistically, but if Spence actually took a tuneup, it would’ve been a little bit more competitive cause he looked really dry out there out the gate

15-16 months is a long time for a 33 year old to not be active. Bud did his thing. He was 120% in there and more naturally talented to begin with. Just stupid for Spence's team to think inactivity wouldn't effect a guy in your 30s. You have to stay action to stay sharp when 35 is your next milestone.

People who talk about “no need for a rematch” must not understand sports. An adjustment in game plan may change the complexion of the match completely.
