Brand-new bikes are a breath of fresh air when compared to older motocross bikes. As we saw in the last video, the newer generation of dirt bikes is comfortable yet aggressive. Switching over to a dinosaur of a bike and taking a 1972 CZ400 for a joy ride was a blast regardless. Ended up ripping it through some parts of Next Level Moto- where Huck was improving his riding techniques!

i raced 70-72 CZs then 74 up Maicos...(new)....it's a whole different experience kids..fun fact Czs have a dry clutch and straight cut trans gears that look ballsy enough to take a GM LS swap. Back in the day we had the rubberband starts and the first mechanical gates...sometimes a starter would keep us there a cpl mins and try to sneak a grab at the handle...the CZs would take it in stride while everyone elses clutches were turning to mush ...hand on helmet starts were fun too...just rev it and stomp it into 1st while your hand was on its way down ..fun times fun times...kidney belts were a must

brian i raced a 72 400 cz they moved the rear shocks forward for more swing arm travel it was a beast i went back to 250 class before i killed my self than yamahacame out with the mono shock and every thing changed the asians took over moto x

Cool Brian , cz. And maico were top dogs on the 70s, awesome power , I rode a Yamaha 490 in the 80s , fast.... I raced aay roaring branch MX track in pa in 1975 Russ Darnell coached a clinic, he had a husky 360 bad to the bone , he won nationals the day before on it, there , !!! One of my favorites was my Suzi TM 125 !

It is starting to "click" for Hudson. I remember riding on a warm day, December 26th, when I was 13. It suddenly clicked for me that day. My lap times improved by five seconds per lap compared to the day before. He is going to have a moment like that soon. I can see it.

I miss riding all I’ve got and ever had is a 1986 XR250R and it’s been sitting for the past 15 years needing a couple parts after I rebuilt the bottom end and a fresh top end on it now I got kids and my oldest just had her first nasty wipe out on her mini bike at 12 years old and broke her tibia but she been tryin to ride with a broke leg and wants a bigger bike 🤦🏻‍♂️… we live in NC… but if y’all ever like trail riding or anything y’all need to check out Carolina adventure world down 77 not far into SC miles of trails if you wanted to you’d never hit the same trail twice in one day and they got hair scramble tracks and moto tracks on site mechanics bathhouse rv hook ups zip line concession stand dirt drag strip mud bog…… awesome place for ATV, dirt bike or side by sides
