As long as people continue to buy their overpriced figures, regardless of the justified outrage on never ending QC issues, they will keep making them. Thats all it comes down to. Learned behavior continues due to us grown men with zero restraint.

the only thing that really hinders any real change happening is the fanboy mentality, I'm glad you mentioned that. We are the CUSTOMERS, some people forget that. As a fan, I should be able to brag about how great Bebop is AND complain about what a letdown Andre the Giant was or how Snarf is overpriced without some happy camper superfan calling me toxic or a "hater". from what i've read they produce super low quantities in comparison to other "boutique" companies. like bare minimum to even get a contract with a factory. thundercats is never gonna be popular enough to get mass retail quantities so they're ordering just enough to get out the door and most of the markup is from the factory end. at least that's my guess.
@Toygains11 ай бұрын
Taking all that into consideration. And I believe it. Figure out a way to keep the cost down.
@kyleholder378511 ай бұрын
@@Toygainsyeah don't hold your breath on that. only way to get costs down is for a bigger company to do it. sell the license to neca or send it back to mattel. say goodbye to getting anything but main characters tho.

In Canada Super 7 figures are $74.99-$79.99 if you pre-order or manage to grab them at release and before the inevitable scalper markup. Who can collect a wave, let a alone an entire line, with figures costing $90 each after taxes... over a hundred with delivery. I like the look of their figures but I could never justify getting into a line with that kind of cost per figure.

Even worse when you consider SNARFER is going to be stand-alone as well. Splitting up WilyKit and WilyKat was bad enough, but not having two small figures like the Snarfs come together was inexcusable. And yeah, Disney didn't go forward with continued licensing for both Simpsons and the basic Disney Ultimates. I was jonesing for that basic Marge to go with Deep Space Homer and replacing my Playmates versions with them, and was always wondering what new Disney characters would show up. Now all dust in the wind.

Especially when you pre GITD C.More guts (can’t think of his name) , right… mutagen man, at $55 but a week after release he discounts to $27. One ultimates I did pre are the the new silver hawks. The vac metal ones Brian said was impossible. Cuz his version, minus articulation, looked the best &. Are cheap for a vac metaled 6 in. And as for the simpsons , I’d had bought the original cast. And maybe picked up some side characters, I liked. But Flynn began the line with side characters “out the gate “. Perfect opportunity to give us a classic Bart…but no, he gave us the aliens first. I mentioned it before in other comments,and i will mention it again with monstar's throne price tag! Just a big hunk of plastic without a figure as a value pack! I think super 7 overdid it with the prices ALLOT! Check also the reaction series how much they charge one single small figurine which is only just as a representation from a retro character,not many points of articulation,not so much details! They are like the old kenner style figurines that were sold for kids and they asking prices close to 30 for one depending of the character you are going to buy! Why for something so freaking small so much cash?! Its like they don't want to sell or something,because face the facts after a while many ppl can agree that mc farlane toys makes really good detailed figures as well,but he has the decency to sell them in a logical price! What happened with mattel that had the rights some moons back from thundercats? They also made a really good job,why not mattel continued and let super 7 take this line?! It would be much better in the price tag section! I don't know if there is some kind of control to the market for toys,for how much you allowed to ask from the consumer,but if there is they should definitely have a word with super 7! But from the other side there's us the consumer that we must stop supporting them,because the thing starts with us the consumer and and ends with them having some around them saying only how awesome job they are doing in the process!

The ewok looks way better at still a high price, the only way you make him better is with some quality soft goods hood. Even 30 I be... ah man... maybe Snarf at $25, I could do that. But 30 on up I need a whole lot to go with him, like a cat bed, a scratching post, a tiny rocket ship? Your analysis is off with a few points. #1. You’re comparing 3 sizes of figures that all had the same price point minus inflation. Super 7 has stated many times that in order to give you a big plastic figure like bebop for $55, they have to charge you the same amount for the smaller ones. Now whether that’s true or not is besides the point. It makes sense on the surface so we’ll just leave that as is. There’s your reasoning and the answer that they’ll give you. #2. You for whatever reason brought wicket in as an argument BUT failed to realize that Hasbro is doing THE SAME EXACT thing that you’re complaining about. There’s no price break on wicket vs. the other black series figures. They’re all the same price so your argument that Hasbro is somehow doing better makes no sense. #3. You’re talking about this going on clearance at some point…Good luck with that. It’s funny how people think that stuff will just be on clearance forever. At some point the new and “shortened” production numbers start to hit and those days of getting everything for nothing is over. EE is already sold out of snarf along with a bunch of the other newly released figures and they aren’t getting any more. Retailers how for the most part bailed on Super 7 and what you saw with all that other crap was just a result of too much being made and too many people buying it. I can assure you that you aren’t going to be seeing that going forward with most of their newer product, especially for in demand/popular characters.
@Toygains10 ай бұрын
I mentioned that wicket was overpriced. "Wicket while nice is overpriced as well but he's a better product". And at 27 bucks it's an easier pill to swallow. Just because a company says something is priced for whatever reason they come up with. It doesn't mean we have to agree with it. And while EE sold out of Snarf. BBTS has not. Which could mean a few things. But since I can be certain, let's assume he sold out because it's such a wonderful product. He is vital to complete the line so there is some fomo involved here. And in regards to shortened Production. Super 7's best days are over. They don't innovate. They don't improve sculpts or articulation. There's a reason the stuff ends up on clearance. And it's not because of over production.

We're the idiots paying though lol. BriN Flynn I have a love/hate relationship with. Sometimes he seems really cool and sometimes he seems like a pretentious prick
@Toygains11 ай бұрын
Couldn't agree more on the prices. At 30 they are fun toys. At 55 it's like paying for high end art. Which this is not. So I actually met Flynn at Toyfair and he was kind of a jerk to me. It was a very strange interaction. And I know sometimes people can be in a mood. But he went out of his way to question me while I was taking pics of their setup. Which is what Toyfair is all about. Also thanks for the sub.
