You can’t combine God with creepiness and Korn. “Abstain from every form of evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5:22
@BrokkrtheDwarf2 жыл бұрын
@@tylerlee549 Creepy is defined as: "causing an unpleasant feeling of fear or unease." Given this, I would counter that the feeling of being 'creeped out' could just as easily be conviction for one's actions. As far as combining God with prior/current projects one partakes in.....John Schlitt is a great example of an artist who'd vehemently disagree with you. He has performed songs recorded by the band he was a member of before Petra, 'Head East'. Emotion is an important element to music, perhaps the most important one. Context matters. How the singer sounds, what is being said, the tone of the instruments......kind of like the Bible reference you posted: "Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt, but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil." People who only use a single verse or even part of one, without context are the millstone hung around the neck leading others to sinking. The Bible is a book, beyond all others, which has been used to cause great harm when the words are twisted, inaccurate or incomplete. Like music, it requires context. Moreover, I don't consider Korn to be evil. I hear an internal struggle and an anger at injustice when I listen to their older songs.

@@tylerlee549 thinking you have the right, position in life, power, or standing to declare anything "evil" let alone a band of talented, dedicated (in more than one fashion), fellow human beings is reminiscent of the miscreants of my youth that fabricated the "Satanic Panic". The swollen, steaming turds of the PMRC , Tipper Gore the spread-leg whore, and the ever-faithful Jimm Baker. They felt they were in a position to label what they saw fit as "evil". They were wrong on every count. Every. Single. One. You are welcome and duty bound to check things out and judge things for yourself but making a blanket declaration about people you have never even met and the work they do is a real asshole move. The Churches as a whole have become a sad and lonely place. Congratulate yourself.

Hi Brian! You don't know me, but I would like to say that your testimony about how you accepted Christ was a great inspiration for me to deal with my addiction. I've been on treatment for a while and I started with treatment, connecting with God and asking Him to seek me out and take that evil away from me ... I've been feeling much better and I feel like I'm really starting a new life and your story was extremely inspiring for me ... I felt something very strong when you talked about accepting Jesus, I felt like I could have Christ in my life again ... Thank you! Thank you for helping me feel alive again! I sought pleasure in the excesses, in the desires of this world ... But in the end I only found suffering and sadness ... It took me 31 years of my life to realize that when you have God, you have everything ... Thank you Brian!

God doesn't care what you look like or wear he only cares about whats in your heart. Everyone testifies in their own way. If you think being a Christian means you have to dress and sing like a little goody 2 shoes you're dead wrong. Christ said to go fourth and make disciples,he didn't say go out and act holier than thou which is what you are doing. I've read Heads' book I've heard his testimony. He played at the Ichthus festival last year and his testimony was very heart felt and sincere.
