RIP..you were the best thing to ever happen to Bad Company

YES. Yes, he was.

How did he pass? Didn't know he was sick
@RoxyWrites3 жыл бұрын
@@rnbsn777 He had a heart attack at his home in Ft. Myers, FL. He was lucid when the EMTs got to him but they couldn't revive him after that in the ambulance, and he was later pronounced doa after they reached the hospital. I suspect it might actually have been a heart attack due to Covid, bc Florida did not test or report properly in the early months of the pandemic and heart failure is one of the typical effects if you already have a weak heart and he had just had a heart attack a couple years before. However, that said, his current bandmates did not report that he was sick with any symptoms of any kind so it may simply have been his time to go (he'd just written and recorded in 2019 a song he wrote about his time to go approaching, it was called, I'm Going Home). It's been released and is on his YouTub page if you want to hear it. It'll make you cry. He knew. He was an exceptional songwriter, singer, and musician. Now he's *Walking on Holy Water* in the next.

Saw Bad Company & Damn Yankees 3 times in 1992. Some of the best shows. You'll be missed. RIP.
@leczorn4 жыл бұрын
That was a great tour. I saw it twice - 8/3/1990 in Noblesville, Indiana, and 11/7/1990 in Louisville, Kentucky. And I wish Damn Yankees had stayed together a lot longer; they had great chemistry.

Dude was astonishing -- a 5-octave tenor "unicorn" voice type for Rock male vocalists, like Freddie Mercury. Blew Paul Rodgers out of the water (and Rodgers, who I think is a sick man, mocked Brian's death the day after Howe died by posting a video on the Bad Co. website May 7 2020 and onto his social media accounts... Ticked all of us off big time! Even Paul's own fans got angry about it and he got so much flack he took it down the next day). Kirke had the decency to post a one-liner about Brian's passing on his own website a couple days later. Brian was amazing, he was like a racehorse without a track to run on and they've tried to erase him from the band by removing him from the Bio and the chronology etc., but they can't erase his Platinum and Gold albums, which I'd like to point out to anyone reading this, went Platinum and Gold during his tenure touring to 10K-25K Arena-audiences 86-94 while he fronted Bad Co, and in a very short sales time period. Whereas the big sellers Rodgers had before the band tanked in 1982 (previous to Howe saving them), took a wee bit longer to gain momentum. I was a very young reporter at the time of his tenure with BC and I'll never forget his music. Hearing his voice for the first time was like getting hit by lightning. Now he's *walking on Holy Water* and he will be in my memories forever. cheers- see you in the next life, man.

@@KRConnection :) I hear ya. I can honestly say his death hit me harder than some breakups I've had that maybe should have! LOL. I literally pulled my car over to the side of the road on Route 9 in Massachusetts to listen to him the first time I heard his voice... it really was like getting struck in the heart by lightning. Really great memories of his music and what it meant to me back then.

@Jim Kohler Thank you. I'm at work on an article about him that will come out on Medium and several other sites on his birthday next month, as a tribute, and it's a bit controversial. I'm also researching what I think might be copyright infringement of one or more of his songs written for BC but attributed to other writers, and if I find anything, it will be made known. I'm also at work on a biography and it does not paint Kirke or Rodgers in a good light bc they've done a great deal of bad-mouthing him over the years despite that he gave them the most financially successful decade they'd ever had before or since. There's so much more but I'm loathe to put more of it here bc of trolls.

I love Bad Co. I think Paul Rodgers is one of Rocks best vocalist. I think Brian Howe is a great vocalist and a crazy good songwriter and could have and should have hit it huge with a good band and when he fronted Bad Co they needed him much more than he needed them or classic rock stations would have been where Bad Co would have been relegated. He did not replace Paul, he just did his thing at a great time. I came of age with BH and Bad Co. I love music and to me there are no competitions.......Peace

He brought Bad Company back from oblivion. Brian Howe sang hits Holy Water and this song. Before that, no one was listening to BC in the late 80's and early 90's. So, even though they do none of his songs in their sets anymore, he did come in as a relief quarterback, and do his job. Too bad no respect is shown.
