@@Cocolicious08758 Hiring legal counsel and remaining silent are both Constitutional protected activities. There's no law mandating citizens to assist law enforcement with an investigation and they definitely no civil duty to submit to an interrogation by the Petito's or anyone else. It's simple, they broke no laws. This is just an angry mob doing what angry mobs do.

@@emersonmanning6523 Is it against the law to know someone killed a person and not report it? Yes, in some cases it can be illegal to know that someone committed a crime and not report it: Federal law The federal offense of "misprision of felony" can apply to someone who knows a felony has been committed and doesn't report it. State laws Some states have laws that require certain people to report certain types of crimes. For example, many states have mandatory reporting laws for crimes against children, such as child abuse, neglect, or pornography. Accessory to a crime If someone covers up a crime to help the criminal, they can be charged as an accessory to the crime. Other legal risks of not reporting a crime include: Criminal charges for obstructing justice, Retaliation, and Involvement in legal proceedings.
