In my birth year 1984 Freddie lived his last healthy years. Then 1984 Freddie was already part of gay community, or had chosen his final path of life although still felt affection towards his first true love Mary Austin, for whom Freddie dedicated Queen's song Love of My Life (from the album A Night at the Opera) in the year of 1975.

"how can a idiot like you possibly compare Anglo, or European invasion of the US to major civilization which was established by the Persians or their connection to their heritage? Parsis where persecuted and forced to leave their homeland Iran compare to Europeans that was pushed out of their homeland for the lack of contribution and opportunities. People in the US cultivates so called "American" culture, traditions and values. Just as Parsis cultivates Persian religion, tradition, culture and values besides being ethnically Persian (just in an different country), hence for they have no significant connection to India except being citizens of that country. Even the idea of Indian sub-continent being an nationstate was non-existant before 1947 which makes it more of an joke. Guess what?!? Armenians in Iran have been there for over 5 centuries but they still consider themselfs as Armenians and are Christians, even though most of them have far more Persian cultural influence than what Parsis have in terms of Indian cultural influence. You simply can't change your ethnicity and heritage, but you can change your citizenship. As for Freddie, he only lived 9 years out of his 45 years in India, he basically grew up in Zanzibar, and Zanzibar itself as an important trade port city was founded and migrated by the Persians since 9th century and used/ruled by Iran through multible dynasties, the word itself is an Persian etymology. Now go back to the drawingboard dravadian and stop claiming other peoples heritage. LMAO if Parsis didn't actually consider themselfs Persians, they wouldn't even call themselfs "Parsis" to begin with which literally translates to "Persian". Its clear that you have neither watched the movie correctly nor you know shit about anything at all. In the movie his father clearly states "We have Persian ROOTS." Now roots is the keyword here. People do come from anywhere but their roots matter the most. Zoroastrianism is a religion thats entirely based upon ancient Iranian mythology and history. You cant take Iran out of Zoroastrianism. Parsis and Iranian Zoroastrians are probably the closest to Ancient Pre-Islamic Iranians and Persians because they have minimal often dismissive admixture. An average parsi in India has about 16%-20% ANI-ASI admix and the rest(70-75%) is mainly Persian Caucasian with some amounts about 10% North Eastern European. It also varies like some Parsis may have more Indid admix than the others. Usually the priestly class is more or less Iranid than the others. Iranians on general are very different from the Persians back then because of significant Turkish, Mongolian and Arabids. Thats the sole reason you cant compare Parsis with Iranians of today, even though Parsis cluster closest to Iranians rather than to Indians, they cluster the closest to Iranian Zoroastrians and are basically the same. Any admix that happened between parsis and indians was about 1000 years back when the first wave landed. Many waves have come since then and mostnof the later waves of Zoroastrians that came in like the ones in 1400-1500 CE in the Safavid times havent mixed with Indians.Ill list peer reviewed papers rather than the hypothetical bullshit that you otherwise keep stating. genomebiology.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13059-017-1244-9 If you can read, I think this settles your geneticist's scoff and also that he is a fraud. Parsis even today are mainly Persian in descent(about 80%) and North Indian(about 16%). As they cluster closest with Iranians and NOT with their south asian neighbours.But its different for different samples. www.google.com/amp/s/www.firstpost.com/india/genetic-study-conducted-in-india-pakistan-confirms-parsis-migrated-to-india-from-persia-3659417.html/amp www.google.com/amp/s/www.thehindubusinessline.com/news/variety/how-parsis-with-persian-roots-flowered-in-indian-soil/article9730657.ece/amp/ Atleast read your Indian newspapers before spewing BS. www.google.com/amp/s/www.deccanchronicle.com/amp/science/science/090617/dna-proves-parsis-link-to-iran.html www.researchgate.net/publication/317597704_Like_sugar_in_milk_reconstructing_the_genetic_history_of_the_Parsi_population www.semanticscholar.org/paper/“Like-sugar-in-milk”%3A-reconstructing-the-genetic-of-Chaubey-Ayub/de33bfb608ad51efe80b839191c3ed0f809cc041 Regarding nationality they are 100% Indian with no links to modern day Iran without any second doubts. They speak Indian languages with their accent just like germans Jews speak Yiddish which is a german dialect. So shut it. There are assyrians in Iran who have lived in Iran roughly for the same time as parsis and have maintained their bloodines and speak Iranian languages. Everyone adapts but not everyone intermixes with the majority. Freddie was Persian in phenotype, DNA, blood. British Indian by birthplace i.e. Zanzibar and British purely by nationality. Indian probably by schooling. Debate with credible sources. Dont spew unnecessary poison in air. Persian bloodline NEVER ceased atleast not in the case of parsis.

My last post on the subject of his heritage. Sadly there are still some "fans" who deny his Indian heritage. One reason he didn't talk about being Indian was the racism towards Indians in England at the time. Apparently this racism seems to exist with some of his "fans" in the face of obvious facts about his heritage/blood line. Rather than accept Freddie as the Indian man he was, they prefer to outright deny him of who and what he was. It is unreasonable and unfair to Freddie. No matter how much you want to think your iconic hero was Persian, genetics and history prove otherwise. This shouldn't be a debate. And to consider Freddie Iranian is blatantly false and laughable. 1,500 years ago was a long time and upon reaching India they intermingled with Indian "stock", if you will. Gradually the Persian bloodline ceased to exist among Parsi Indians, of which Freddie was. Ostensibly there was no persian blood in Freddie.. He was as much Indian as Mahatma Gandhi was.. I believe they both spoke Gujarati.As indicated in the movie " Bohemian Rhapsody", which incidentally was approved by Brian May, the guitarist for Queen, the script goes out of its way on a couple of occasions to proclaim he was Parsi Indian.. Not one mention of Iran and or Persia. To cal Freddie Iranian would be just as incorrect as to refer to him as Japanese... And despite facts, some will continue to deny his Indian heritage. Of whom who endeavors on such denial of what Freddie was , let it be know, fans they are not.. R.I.P. Freddie M.. !!
@jojujacob56893 жыл бұрын
The truth is that Freddie (and his publicists) deliberately obscured his true origins and ethnicity - perhaps for understandable reasons. While Freddie was born in Zanzibar he was essentially Indian by ethnicity. His family were from India and he only lived in Zanzibar as his father worked for the British colonial administration and was posted there from India. He did most of his growing up in India, living there from around the age of 6-7 until he was 17 - certainly his formative years were spent there. The distinction that Freddie Mercury was from a Persian Parsi background is always carefully highlighted in such a way as to minimise his Indian heritage and give the false impression he hailed from somewhere other than the subcontinent. However what isn’t mentioned is that the Persian Parsis have been in India for centuries longer than the the Norman French have been in England (since at least the 7th Century). In fact the official language of many of the most famous and important medieval sultanates, like the Mughal Empire was actually Persian and not Hindu or any of the other Indian languages. If the British aristocracy can hail from a limited influx of 10th century Norman French and 18th century Germans to the UK but still be considered quintessentially English then Freddie Mercury, hailing from a large influx of 7th century Persians to India, is certainly Indian. Of course in the England of the 1960s and seventies an Indian rock singer was about as marketable and credible as a women’s footballer would have been here until very recently, so the fog that was thrown up around Mercury’s origins is entirely understandable.

You’re the only people who do this online on every video that might remotely have something to do with you. Even if he was indian, he was a gay man who would’ve never been accepted by any of you losers talking about his heritage. His art also doesn’t have any Indian elements. It does on the other hand have Italian and Persian/Parsi elements in it. And any racism that would’ve existed in Britain against Indians would’ve also existed against Pariss or Persians so that comment made no sense whatsoever. EMBARRASSING.

Humans evolved from Africa? that doesn't mean we are Africans right? - just because you're a Muslim or Christian that doesn't mean you're from Israel or Arab. Similarly Zoroastrian followers left Iran centuries ago to avoid Islamic extremism and forceful conversions, sure if you think Freddie Mercury is Persian and and as per history type in Google "Vedic Religion means" it's the oldest way of living older than your Abrahmic faith. Today it's called as Hinduism. That means all whitish color human is Persian as well. *Vedic Religion means the ancient religion of the Aryan peoples who entered NW India from Persia c. 2000-1200 BC. It was the precursor of Hinduism, and its beliefs and practices are contained in the Vedas*, *according to western Propoganda* and Indians don't believe in Aryan Dravidian theories as Indian Hindu history goes back to thousands of years. India is a mixed race, multi Religious, multi linguistics, everything here is multi. With your half knowledge don't comment stupidity. Freddie was indeed 100% Asian Indian. He was born from two Indian parents, and his grandparents were both Indian, and so too his great grandparents , and on and on and on. Freddie simply was never Iranian. Freddies own mom said he was proud to be Indian and he loved Indian food. There is no trace amount of "Iranian" blood in Freddie. I do not understand why some "fans" claim he was Iranian. Genetically he is Indian and that is not refutable. A well known genetist said he was Indian and scoffed at the idea that he was Iranian. Genetics do not lie. In the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, the script goes out of its way to acknowledge his Indian parents and in the movie he is referred to as PARSI INDIAN. There was not one word about being Persian.. No matter how much some of you wish to think he is not Indian will never change the act that he was Indian.
@ceeydom16366 жыл бұрын
VERY WELL SAID. He was referred as Indian Parsi all through the movie because that is what he was. HIS mother tongue was Gujarati, his parents were both born in Bombay (Mumbai), his cousins, uncles, aunts all live there. His INDIAN family roots were shown in Bohemian Rhapsody, Freddie was known for his love of INDIAN food, because that was his native food. SMH at dumb whites thinking India, and Indians are as bland as them. Freddie is ONE in a long list of known, successful Indian Parsi such as Ratan Tata, the Wadia Family, Jhavarlal Nehru- daughter was married to an Indian Parsi who was the an Indian Prime Minister Feroze Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, Boman Irani, John Abraham, all of them PARSI INDIANS. Just like there are Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Malayali, Goanese, Bihari etc Indians there are PARSI Indians. Freddie Mercury happened to be A Parsi Gujarati Indian. The END.

People in the US cultivates so called "American" culture, traditions and values. Just as Parsis cultivates Persian religion, tradition, culture and values besides being ethnically Persian (just in an different country), hence for they have no significant connection to India except being citizens of that country. Even the idea of Indian sub-continent being an nation-state was non-existent before 1947 which makes it more of an joke. Guess what?!? Armenians in Iran have been there for over 5 centuries but they still consider themselves as Armenians and are Christians, even though most of them have far more Persian cultural influence than what Parsis have in terms of Indian cultural influence. You simply can't change your ethnicity and heritage, but you can change your citizenship. As for Freddie, he only lived 9 years out of his 45 years in India, he basically grew up in Zanzibar, and Zanzibar itself as an important trade port city was founded and migrated by the Persians since 9th century and used/ruled by Iran through multiple dynasties, the word itself is an Persian etymology. Now go back to the drawingboard dravadian and stop claiming other peoples heritage. I'm not talking about nationality Im talking about the origin of the generations. Do you think why everyone thought that freddie is Pakistani and not Indian? And also I don't think moustaches could belong to a special country😂 and if it could be, moustaches have a history in Iran if you know anything about Ghajar. Anyway he never had any interest to his origin country and grow his moustache because it was cool. Where ever he came from he had never been proud of it and he chose to be British

Another famous Parsi...the brave heart Lt. Col. Ardeshir Tarapore who was the hero of the 1965 India-Pakistan war, where he laid down his life fighting on the battlefield. He is one of only 21 brave Indian soldiers to have received the Param Vir Chakra (the highest military honour for bravery). All are Indian Parsees. Parsees are Indian first, please remember that!

Freddy was a Parsi from Persia now called Iran. His race was Persian. His parents were Indian Parsis so he becomes an Indian parsi but being born in Zanzibar which was a British colony he automatically gained British citizenship but then he did his schooling In St Paul a hill station close to Bombay for a good 9 yrs. He's an Indian parsi. He was more influenced with western culture.

Look he was Persian and Indian both. For people claiming FREDDIE as 💯% indian or 💯% persian are 💯% fools . Because every community in the world faced migration at some point of time so it cannot belong 💯% to any race. With time , heritage mix, culture mix, language mix. And culture fusion is the truth that nobody can deny . So I am against those indians who claim Freddie as indian only but not Persian. And I am also against those persians who claim Freddie as Persian only but not Indian.

@@Somali.Pirate1 first of all his family was based in bulsar ( now valsad ) city of Gujarat in India from where his surname bulsara came...his parents grandparents great great grandparents were born in india and lived there and married there also.... There ancestors had been living in india for 1000 of years.... Freddie lived in india for 10 years and often visited his aunt and uncle family in Bombay .... Also parsis in india are very much proud of their ethnicity as Persian (now Iran) culture so they call themselves often Persian ( not Iranian) Also point to be noted is that he said *I always walk around like a Persian popinjay* he didn't said I'm a Persian popinjay or Iranian popinjay.... He said that based on his looks of moustache and face which matched to most Iranian men .... But he didn't mean to say he belonged from Persia...

Farrokh Bulsara You're Iranian and you follow Zoroaster prophet* and Freddie is an Indian he didn't care about his Religion but his parents are Religious* followed Zoroaster prophet. You're saying this like. Now Muslims and Christian belongs to Israel/middleast, as their prophets came from there. Just because of Religion that doesn't mean they have to be Persians or Iranians.. India is a mixed race.. he's is Parsi* not Persian. Read my whole comment again and learn some history and knowledge.

@Wilfreda William His parents were Persians by Race????? Are you fucking deluded??? Parsis in India are racially just as Indian as any Gujarati, Sindhi, Kutchi, Rajasthani or Punjabi. Parsis came to the coast of Gujarat in 11th century from Iran and intermingled with Indians. So your concept of Parsis being of Iranian race is highly flawed.

Born in 1946 in Zanzibar to Parsi-Indian parents In fact, after the Arab invasion of Iran and the introduction of Islam to Iran, some people did not pay ransom and taxes to the Arab rulers of that time. So they had to leave Iran and some of them became refugees to India and live there. Because India had freedom in religion.
