As we all age and watch the remaining members of Queen age, Freddie is forever young and fabulous. Hard to believe he’s been gone 30 years this November. There will never be another Freddie and I still enjoy watching the old concerts of the band and listening to their music. Long Live Queen and Rest Easy Freddie. See you on the other side.

It was quite an experience seeing Freddie perform. I saw them at Maine Road football ground in 1986. It's VERY difficult to get across to people, especially younger people, just what force that man was on stage. I was with my wife, we were in the main stand at the football ground , not too far from the stage. To the right of us, there were two great big tough looking blokes. When Freddie launched into "Lap of the Gods" - the two blokes to the right of me were crying, tears running down their faces, and that's what Freddie could do to people. It was quite an amazing thing to see. STILL not sure i've got over it yet! :)

I agree with you, but for me, there will never be another Freddie. Freddie made the band work. He made the band of how we know Queen today. He knew what they wanted for he wanted the same, he pushed them, force them to do certain things, I am sure of it, but the outcome of that belongs to the worldwide fans...

I want to say it this way. Only Freddie Mercury body is not here, His spirit is definitely here with us. As much as we listen to his music, tell his stories, and learn from him, he really is not dead at all. As a Christian i have beentaught that everyone has a soul and a time to live Here on earth and a time to die. Freddie Mercury lived on this earth 46 years, His soul lives forever.

With tapes in cars changing into Queen's Greatest Hits - you're thinking of Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett. :D "Crowley was currently doing 110 mph somewhere east of Slough. Nothing about him looked particularly demonic, at least by classical standards. No horns, no wings. Admittedly he was listening to a Best of Queen tape, but no conclusions should be drawn from this because all tapes left in a car for more than about a fortnight metamorphose into Best of Queen albums. No particularly demonic thoughts were going through his head. In fact, he was currently wondering vaguely who Moey and Chandon were."

@basstian5 ай бұрын
In Britain, it was originally a B-side; elsewhere, it was a double-A and it did top some charts. Locally, though, they only had four number ones: 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (twice, second time paired with 'Days of Our Lives'), 'Under Pressure' and 'Innuendo'. Then there were some cover versions which also made it to N°1 such as 'Somebody to Love' (with George Michael), 'We Will Rock You' (with 5ive) and 'Don't Stop Me Now' (by McFly).
