So few likes.......I'm amazed......the greatest player I've seen in my lifetime and he was up against alot of competition

My comment is being g made in Dec. 2022. Rugby certainly prospered from there top players like Brian O ' Driscoll . He certainly had the touch of class when playing for club , province, country & the Lions . He made my heart jump in excitement when ever be got ball in hand & when he wasted the opposition when he took off . A clean player through out his career in spite of what some oppositions resorted to , he rose above it, to me that's class of a gent!mean that Brian is . Personally I kept my interest in rugby because of him , a true clubman ,province & country we could not have a better ambassador for our country . Thank you Brian for all the hours of enjoyment watching you play the game of Rugby . As the old saying goes ! Cream always rises .

What an amazing rugby legend. Certainly irelands best ever centre and one of the worlds greatest.. the battering he received from opponents (when they could catch him) was intense Beside his rugby brilliance he is also a gentleman and a great ambassador for Irish rugby What is not well known outside of Ireland is the cross community work he supported in Belfast. Very brave and sincere.... and deeply appreciated by your friends in N Ireland Thankyou for your brilliance, kindness and sincerity ( from Belfast)

It's amazing how far Anglo Irish relations have come since the dark old days. Back then you'd never hear an Englishman talk so highly of an Irishman. We have Mr Hume and Mr Trimble to thank for that and a few others. But they're not wrong either, Brian was the best player to come out of the NH and he's still the best all round.... Couple of French lads playing at the moment that might equal his abilities though, time will tell.

makes me proud to be an Irishman and a Dubliner!
@james099954 жыл бұрын
@Laoch Let me explain the comment for the benefit of any other person that might happen across your stupid comment - there are some people in Ireland that believe that they somehow represent everything noble about Ireland, it's culture, it local sporting rivalries etc. In extreme cases it culminates in the rank stupidity of @Laoch comment - to declare that a Dubliner is not Irish. Most Dubliners have relatives in the wider country wherein more bitter rivalries exist, perhaps that of a sibling done well in Dublin, which exacerbate this town vs country narrative. With people like @Laoch where even the name speaks of a Gaelic snobbery, you might as well have angels fly out of the back of your arse as to convince them of the stupidity of their belief never mind their brainless utterances - many of us Dubliners grew up with cousins like this who, until you learn to put them in their place and until such time as they grow and mature, typically in their 30's, you have to listen, embarrassed, to this bollox. Now on a more personal note @Laoch, my grandfathers fought for Irish freedom. I am known as Seamus, not Jim - a name I use for non-Irish speakers whom have met in my professional and personal life - people who ní labhraíonn nó ní thuigeann an teanga - (I made that as simple as possible and so you can use Google Translate) and mine (Christian and Surname) are steeped in the fight for Irish freedom and Irishness. I spent half the year, every year, of my first 20 years farming in the West of Ireland to ensure a family farm stayed running and thus transcend any country/city paradigm you care to mention - most of all I met dumb, ignorant people like yourself, in both country and city who are an embarrassment to the virulent, intellect, joie de vivre, brilliance that is Irish people in general. I have lived in New York, France (une troisième langue), Holland (een vierde taal) and know a good number of people in each place many of which I am honoured to call friend and all who universally call me Irish - as I an utterly proud to be. I wear my Dublin jersey with pride - a jersey I earned having represented my county at minor and U21 as a footballer. Any you, ya thick gobshyte, what have you done? Jog on ya clown

@@james09995 I was trying to find the comment that appeared to provoke such a virulent response frm you.. And I have to admit the response(it could certainly be described as a "put down"was impressive.. .And I will add to describe Ireland's Political past and History as confusing, complicated and complex is probably the understatment of the century!!.. And I can personally attest to that, being born in London's East end to parents who were born&raised in Cahirciveen,County Kerry.. So I had my mom who was pretty middle of the road with her Politics while maintaining quite the fascination with the Queen all of her life and my "old Man" who was very much a proud Republican and probably just as proud and vociferous with his feelings on "John bull's" country!! .Most confusing for his children!
