I don't think there's anything that Brian Setzer CAN'T do with a guitar. Dude is a guitar GOD.

@yourguitarsage 0:50 here is Brian Setzer explaining his picking technique. As you can clearly see, he tucks his pick into his palm and uses the hybrid finger picking style for soloing.

I saw another guy doing this tuck recently--and he has quite a story to why he plays that way. He's even got a video just to explain. I grew up in the Stray Cats era, and never noticed Brian tucking his pick until today.

@@ruger9two That's really good of you to offer. It's stupid of me - but I didn't think to look for it. I just assumed something this old wouldn't be available. Well it seems it is! A book has been released and the transcription apparently updated! It's widely available online. Thanks for your comment, I probably wouldn't have looked had you know mentioned the gif!

Grestch Brian Setzer Hot Rod - this one was custom pinstriped for Brian. AND Brian had TV Jones Supertrons installed in this one guitar.

When I first started trying to learn this in the early 2000’s it made no sense. I knew how to read the music, but it NEVER sounded even close. Gen Z needs to tighten up. Y’all got damn near every bit of information you need at this point.

@ 3:40 what chords is he doing? They look like jazz chords and the song spinds like Route 66... also looks like hes kinda doing bop & swing at the same time.. idk this is why he is my favorite guitarist.
