history buff here, that battleship is the Mikasa. it was used only against the Russians so it was not at midway, and it is the ONLY pre-dreadnought warship left in the world. really cool stuff

The 'Bousou-zoku' are essentially junior bike gangs (middle schoolers to highschool) and it was common for some of its members to 'graduate' and become yakuza underlings. Bousou-zoku are generally harmless these days (other than making ungodly amount of noise early in the morning) but because of their more violent past (80's through to early 90's) people generally avoid them. Can't take any risks when one of the members might have acquaintances in the yakuza.

This Japan series has been awesome. I have loved Japanese culture for the longest time and that motorcycle store can only happen in Japan. The amount of respect that people have for each other and care for the community is something you don't see here in the US.

Fun fact: That isn't a WW2 ship, or even WW1! It's the Mikasa, which served as the flagship of Hideki Tojo in the battle of Tsushima Strait in the Russo-Japanese war, which lasted from 1904-1905. The battle of Tsushima Strait is probably the single most humiliating defeat of the Russian Navy in it's history. The Russian Baltic Fleet sailed half way across the world with lots of mishaps and hijinks along the way, like shooting at a British fishing boat, thinking it was a Japanese boat while still in Europe. As a result, they weren't allowed to go through the Suez Canal, which meant that they had to sail all the way around Africa only to be kicked in the ass by Japan as soon as they got there lol.

My ex used to take naps at work. Everyone had their own sleeping bag. It was also in walking distance of Tenjin -- the main shopping area in Fukuoka. A couple of them would go shopping during work hours if things were slow. Pick up coffee etc. to restock the break room, but they're also coming back with Zara bags etc. Longer hours, but no micromanagement. If you perform your tasks, you're good. I don't think she ever had a "performance review".

Seen some videos of you, and after seeing this one, decided to sub to show some more support. Because clearly I can see and hear, you like bikes as much as these guys in the videos do and as much as I do as well. Also thanks for all the services you did! I'm not big on stunting myself. Granted i'm a new rider since November 2022, and I live in The Netherlands. Be picking up my first bike soon, which is an 08 Kawasaki Z750. But this video showed how open and welcoming bike people are, even through language barriers or heck even kilometers of water, land and air in between! Also that Motorcycle shop was insane, so cool to see!

I'm from South Carolina, and I went to West Virginia for the first time. All I wanted was to have my supermoto to enjoy the mountains. I could only imagine traveling to several states and even more crazy to be out of the country. That's amazing. Next time I go to West Virginia, I'm taking my bike. I'm a new rider since April 2024 with 2k miles. Need way more miles still pretty green. Grew up in dirt, and it's where I feel comfortable, but the road is unexpectedly different for sure.
