Finally a good sock tutorial! Been looking for an easy pattern to follow but every one of those had: "SPECIAL CROCHET MOVE, KARATE CHOP THE HOOK FROM THE 3RD CHAIN WHILST RIDING A BIKE DOWN A HILL" and so I just gave up on socks, but this is great!!

Love that yarn colorway! It's modeled after the 4th Dr.'s scarf on Dr. Who, which is why it's called Time Traveler. It incorporates all of the colors of his scarf (which is 9 feet long, btw). I've knitted the scarf before, these would be a cute addition to it.

Crochet is a skill I taught myself when the first full lockdown was implemented in my country in 2020 and I love it way more than knitting. Knitting has never tickled me and it is something we were taught at primary school (I asked my mom to knit my projects)😊. Gonna try these socks.

so I've finished my first ever pair of socks following your pattern, mind you, I did it with sock weight yarn and a 2.0 hook, so my stitch count was different...I managed to adjust just by where you made the gussets (on the sides) and going on measurements instead of row counts...I am quite impressed with my outcome..thank you...👍🧶

Could you guide more I On Ur info as I am also using different yarn and hook
@grandmasmagic3858 Жыл бұрын
@shaziz6966 hi. I worked more from measurement rather than stitch count. Mind you, I struggled with turning the heel so those parts are not so perfect. I kept doing rounds for the toe until it fit right, then worked up the foot to the heel, then up the leg to the height I wanted. And THEN I had to do it all over again for the other foot, chuckle. Good luck.

I have a very skinny foot I found it fits me best to skip the 2 single crochet in the same stitch all around in the beginning and to just do one stitch. I also like the snug fit without the gusset so I just continued until creating the opening for the heel. For reference, I wear size 7-7.5. I crocheted 20 rows up before beginning the heel. Thanks for an easy to follow tutorial and easy to customize! I’m going to make my boyfriend some now!

I made this sock twice. the first pair was my first crochet project in years and it was really easy to follow, I was really happy with the result. I just used some cheap acrylic yarn. Now that I have more experience I went back and recreated it with a colour changing acrylic+wool yarn and it turned out pretty again. My only issue is the heel always ends up with a lot of holes, I thought the first time around it was due to my inexperience or yarn difference but not anymore, that's my only issue with this pattern. 4/5

Help, when I lay it flat, I’m at 5” across. I’m still doing 36 single crochets in each round. I’m on round or row 22. When I put it on my foot, it’s huge, width wise.
@CrossoverGenius2 жыл бұрын
@@territ1371 you may have found this answer elsewhere, but just in case, you may have yarn too thick/ too large of a hook. this will make it “too big” even if you have the same number of stitches as the tutorial. try a thinner yarn and a smaller hook, OR you can try to get adventurous and scale down your work to accommodate. 💜

1. Remember to count the first loop of the magic ring as the first stitch. 2. If you're crocheting with double yarn (cotton/wool for example) the right numbers are: R1: 6 R2: 12 R3: 18 R4: 24 R5: 30 So these are the same as in the video, but continuing you will do: R6: DCR in first then scr in every stitch around = 31 Continue with 20 rows and you will arrive at the heel of a size 37-38 😊

I like your socks. This was very easy to follow where you make each stitch. As I watched you make this sock, I kept thinking that there's no way this is a 4 weight yarn and hook. I don't believe it is 4 weight yarn, I made socks with worsted weight yarn and it came out much bigger than hers. It fits my foot quite loosely when I'm a size 11. I clicked the link in her description and it lists the yarn weight as "fingering" so I think that is the accurate size. Or it could be that my stitches are too large 💀 I used a 4mm hook for reference
