Okay here's my two cents I think her name should stay MUDDY because it's always been MUDDY. I don't think it's right that you would even ask them if you could change the name, and muddy sounds like a great name. Specially after all the mess she makes. I'm not too crazy on the Matilda name but that's just my two cents I think Muddy is a great name it sounds fun and very hilarious

I hope she is ok and you had your vet check her. She is obviously sick since she has diarrhea and wet face. These are signs of a respiratory infection and I am sad that those people would let her go in that condition. Not good! Poor sweet girl. FYI - I have a lot of experience with tortoises. I have my own girl I have had since she was a baby and she's over 30 years old now. She has NEVER had wet face and only had diarrhea once from eating something that didn't agree with her. They are super intelligent, know their name, come when their called, listen to instructions like, it's bedtime, do you want to go for a swim etc. They are very loving. They feel everything on their shell. Their shell is sensitive and can even get itchy. My girl loves the occasional back scratch with a small nylon brush. She wiggles back and forth. She will even lodge herself under our diningroom chairs to scratch her own back. They love to be talked to and love to have their neck tickled and rubbed. My girl has a bed with blankets & heating pads, she climbs in on her own or I typically take her and tuck her in. Once it starts to get dark they want to sleep, just like in nature. Love her and you'll have a life long friend. She's pretty sweet.❤❤❤❤

Chin up brother. I found out the girl I had been with for 15yrs was seeing someone behind my back. Turned my world upside down and basically lost everything I had worked 15+ yrs to get and started getting into things I shouldn't have.
