VERY fun group pull! But I believe your numbers were way off. $5600 in. Started with $2800 ticket which went down to around $1600. So $1600+$2800(2nd ticket never used)+$4000(handpay)=$8400. 8400÷28 players=$300 each should have left with. Not $240.

So how does the winnings get divided up? How does the group thing work?

Each person that is playing puts in $200 for this particular group pull, including Brian. There are 28 people playing in total. At the end of the group pull, all of the money won plus whatever money is left in the machine, plus any handpays, is all added together and then divided equally between each of those 28 people. So every single person involved in the group pull gets exactly the same amount of money at the end, including Brian. However, if there are any hand pays, Brian pays the taxes for them.
