Brian, great review of a great book. I always loved the fact that Asimov by bringing in the Mule, really added to the randomness of history, it was a brilliant move by him. I also love this series, majestic sf, but I think Asimov was influenced by Platos Republic, Gibbons Decline and fall of the Roman Empire, and also Doc Smiths very underrated Lensman series. Thanks for a great and fun review, your enthusiasm is infectious.

Just read the trilogy, absolutely mind blowing. I heard you should read the robot books (which I have) before the sequel and prequel novels (which I haven’t)
