I met you many years ago as my two friends and I were exiting your exhibition at The Palace of the Legion of Honor in SF. You stood outside of the exit watching our faces as we left...a smile like a child. We spoke no words between us...I think that was the best way to meet one of my human idols (Koko is another big love of mine). Love you and all the aspects of your ever changing soul. Peace in times of doubt. be strong.

@@EastmanD I am so silly when it comes to celebrity (I experienced a minor sense of "being glommed over" when my best friends and I spent 1 school year having had locked ourselves into a stage closet of our school's (The Urban School of San Francisco...I received scholarships to help me go there) theatre, which billed itself separately from the school as "Gumption". One thing about Urban was it had the singular viewpoint that teenagers could be trusted to work on school projects when inspired by their own views, and one of the major projects of each students school year was to use the city as a research tool, ND after 6 months provide the rest of the school and the faculty with a 5 minute description of what they were working on. You could share a project with up to three others, but then you 4 were expected to fill 20 minutes of the children and (very smart) teacher's thinking time. I worked with my 3 other friend's on producing a rock band with a full 20 minutes of music and performance backed up by video collages of various anarchistic acts that we did around the financial district. We broke into the Western Stock Exchange and filmed it...highly illeqgal. We harassed the guards at the Bechtel Building, (where George "Schmidt" the chief of staff for Ronald Reagan had just come to wallow in his privilege and regular visits to Bohemian Grove as CEO for the private mega construction firm most locally noted for building B.A.R.T. [Out here on the Left Coast]. A cushy position to say the least, with no stock holders to have to kowtow to. We gave those guards a mighty good workout all the while yelling that we were only looking for the stock-holder's meeting. We got out, all of us, by using the old hide the most sought after object in the most obvious place, right under their nose, and somehow managed to walk out of the front dam gate/door with 5 minutes of (what to teenagers was pure comedic gold, running through top secret mission rooms with their daily rundowns still unerased on white boards... unaware of quite how illegal our video was to have in private possesion. We used this this footage of us running around the sites of Cali just projecting in loops behind us as we played our carefully memorized music (only one of us could even play an instrument. To go the full mile we had a drama teacher there who went on to quite reasonable success as a stage director in S.F. assist us in conceptualizing and choreographing our stage performance, as well as the background video ( which came out resembling a zany 60's comedy romp like " IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD, or CASINO ROYAL" A final note. One of the Dead Kennedy's announced when asked who were his favorite band...Jello said...a little group called the Conformists out of a small theatre half a block from Haight / Ashbury with the unlikely name of Gumption. . . My brush with celebrity. As well as seeing the man who wrote the soundtrack for my early youth. If you are wondering what we sounded like , well...I remember us originally planning on playing toy pianos with tuxedos and cumberbunds while each balanced on tiny tricycles while we played almost silent nonsense with only the vaguest sense rhythm...remember...only one of us had any musical training. I don't know why I wrote this all down,😜🤡🙀☠️🤓

I'm sorry that story went on so long. We ended up sounding a tiny bit like DEVO if they had only 6 months to prepare.and Eno video is supernally calming..lending an ancient of days, and long of beard "Now We Are 6ish" with Wisdom, Understanding, and lastly an abbyssally frightening sense of falling knitted into it's middle span... TRULY I HAVE TO SAY I LACK THE PATIENCE I ONCE POSSESSED for listening to purely ambient pieces...therefore i am grateful for the latest how can I say it "pseudo-ambient" fare. 💛💖💫🕳️💭

What unbridled excitement in awaiting the extended edition of Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks." Out of all the new pieces this one has grasped me the most; a fitting ending and though not quite on the level of "An Ending Ascent" i am sure we will find this piece in movie soundtracks very soon. Hauntingly sublime. Brian is the Master of Liminality! My spiritual life can not live without his genius.

I used to have a nice life. Me and wife settled down in a quiet, but pleasant town with 2 beautiful kids. I used to ride my wife a lot, life was good. Until my wife fought back. We fought all the time, and one day the fight got really bad and I accidentally killed her. My wife was gone. I spent weeks after that thinking about my wife. Only feeling pain, regret, and sorrow.

I think I just went up. This song just says up. But where's up? Up could be anywhere. How could have I known. Well no more school means no more friends. That's it. I hope we'll see each other. I hope. Or maybe not because. Where is UP? I need to think if you're actually going with me or not. But that's fine. My phone battery is gonna die anyways. Maybe we'll see each other next time, maybe,if not. I'll be up,just so you know. Unless you dont know where up is.
