Nah, you didn't talk about the under appreciation of vanilla long enough. The world needs to recognize how incredible Vanilla is as a flavor/scent. It's the most universally liked flavor in existence and this shouldn't be overlooked just because it's now a common flavor. I'm sure in the past kings would start wars over vanilla beans if that hasnt happened already.

Really happy to also see this on KZbin as a video as well. Such a good point about how both people keep guessing, no matter what. It's a little too easy for momentum to change in SFVI. good talk, I enjoyed that one quite a bit, and I appreciated all the banter and talk in between the most - like sharing about you guys liking Always Sunny or your experiences with anxiety on planes. this goes beyond pure FGC related stuff and really lets more of the person behind the player shine through and makes me feel more connected as a result. I love those parts. Funnily enough, I also tend to listen to KZbin stuff in the background, but ended up watching this whole thing. : )

I just don't understand why the tournaments are not publicized. I followed the starcraft 2 pro scene for many many years and everything was crystal clear in teamliquid and other websites. The year was structured around the tournaments and I could look forward to watching this or that event in the summer or in the fall. It gave a special character to the year and I thought fighting games could replicate it for me but it is exponentially more difficult...

Great concept. Only thing I can say is let your guest talk more. Allow them to guide the conversation as opposed to you making sure you hit every bullet point on your notes. There was a lot of things Idom wanted to say but couldn’t because you guided the conversation away from where he was thinking. Outstanding video and I plan on watching each episode as they come out.

@@leob4403 go ahead and rewatch the interview and count how many times he got cut off. Idom let him speak
@leob44033 ай бұрын
@@MrMegaman1417 this was easily the best interview to come out of FGC and you're still complaining. Brian is a natural at this, he has the knowledge and intelligence to make it interesting, and he is friends with the players. Most interviewers only go surface level, they send someone from like score esports that dont have the depth of knowledge required. Theres a place for shorter more surface level videos too dont get me wrong, but this in depth stuff was definitely needed. Brian giving his own perspective and providing background gives Idom something to bounce off on and enables him to structure his thoughts, Idom is imo the introvert type guy where hes not used to having long monologues providing a wealth of background info. If the interviewer was the passive style it would give Idom the uncomfortable position for him having to lead the conversation, and I dont think thats his forte
@MrMegaman14173 ай бұрын
@@leob4403 and interviewer should never talk more than the person they are interviewing. Defeats the purpose. You don’t make an introvert come out of their shell when you speak over them, interrupt them, and don’t give them room to speak. Idom has as much knowledge if not more regarding the fgc as brian.
@leob44033 ай бұрын
@@MrMegaman1417 this is not a competition, this is a conversation between friends for 3 hours and I learnt a lot, idom made a lot of points about various subjects, a conversation is not a mathematical equation, you have to be more flexible than that, you are way too rigid in your thinking, if you don't take into the account the unique personality of the person being interviewed you will make them uncomfortable, that's what's called calibrating socially, you can't communicate the exact same way with every person in the world, it will make it robotic and awkward

At around 2:13:00 iDom talks about the extra development time to put new DLC characters in story mode. I work in game development, and this seems like an extremely plausible explanation for the slow release of characters and costumes, on top of the fact that this game is made in a new engine that the Street Fighter team didn't make, with much higher fidelity graphics than SF IV/V. These are exactly the types of things that slow down development time in a way that isn't transparent to players.
