Every single GG character has some BS they can try to force in a match. From my experience Pot v Millia is rough for her but if they're good enough you can get shmixed for your whole massive life bar. I think it's a problem of massive damage output and strong AA tools vs a small life bar and less damaging combos. All that being said I hadn't even played any matches yet that day so idfk what they were on about

I've been playing Oro lately, and people will ragequit more often than usual, even thou my win rate with him is trash (around 33%). My hypothesis is that they get salty because: 1. the zooning. 2. they don't know the match up. 3. they may consider Oro a low tier and their ego gets hurt (not sure about that).

You know what’s kinda crazy,as someone who just recently picked up mkx again (while also playing sfv from time to time),let me tell you,it is the goddamn scrub pit. Here you might get one and dones,ragequits,whatever. There? Already the common thing,like,9/10 common is ragequit,they even have an alternate way to end the match called QUITALITY just because of how common it is lol. Not only that tho,it’s also common getting people who actively go to shit on you by private messages/trash talk you via in game mic while you beat them. Personally as an experienced player I can turn down their gimmicks rather quickly unless I get really messed up in the first game and they leave,but seeing Brian like this because of not rematching is really something. On the ragequit I can see it,but on not rematching? And DAMN did he go ham. Idk,again this take is personal based on my experience,maybe he just had a bad day/got matched with a hella players like that and got sick of their shit(i’m not safe from this either mind you).Either way,really explosive video lol. Nvm,i played this game again and went on ranked and i agree with all that rant you did.

This is not Mortal Kombat 11's rank mode(kombat ledge) You do not get or lose anything for winning or losing SFV rank match's. You just get a chance to fight better players and...that's it. No costumes no gear no specials effects, no specials outros or intros or finishers. Why waste your time waiting in the que instead of fighting somebody more.

I played last night. Ultra Silver/Gold for context. What an abysmal time on ranked. First guy I ran into was a maniac Ken player who just wanted to throw me, or tick throw me to death. Ex or Heavy DP the minute I tried to take a turn. He won both times I ran into him 2-0, ever time he won he ran off on the run back. Also played a Rashid that was non stop jumping and doing full screen Eagle Spike over and over again. I would love to play this game, but I can only handle about 30 mins of it tops. Maybe its the rank I am in, but people are just out to piss you off or troll you or something. The amount of times I run into people just out to play as toxic as possible is remarkable. It is those people that keep me from really getting invested.

If they’re only throwing you just uppercut. Issue isn’t the people you’re playing, it’s that they have some simple chunky cheese gimmick and you aren’t experienced to figure out what to do about it. If he’s gonna throw every time, you might as well uppercut until he stops or tech it or whatever the options are, or better yet don’t even let him get that close in the first place. If he’s uppercutting, advance and then just block, then punish. Generally, I’m assuming you main nash based off the pfp and name, so you should be at a relatively nice distance from him being able to throw or uppercut you very well, no? If you blow up his gimmicks and you lost anyways, it’s not his gimmicks that really mattered in the end anyways. If they’re getting close enough to throw you that consistently they’re clearly better in other aspects of the game too, no? They’re not playing toxic lol, they’re just winning by the means they know. If people at your rank aren’t able to figure out how to deal with common gimmicks or Atleast look it up after and ask someone on a discord or something, they’re going to win because of the lack of experience. iirc, predictably throwing and predictably uppercutting are the most exploitable and simply shut down things to do in street fighter

Ranked mode in fighting games are p trash honestly, it's never about getting good, just which bs strategy can net you a quick 2-0 so you can go on to the next one. In ranked it mostly comes down to who has the better gimmick unless someone decides to run a long set.

If the name didn't give it away I main Nash, so I have no DP. Today I was thinking I could have used EX Sythe to stop him abusing throw, but I didn't think of it at the time. The point being is these people I'm playing against absolutely know better. I ran into a ton of people just running a set playbook, and it's fun to play against that. I can learn in that setting, but the animals I've been rocking against honestly playing like that. Come on. You can't be that naive. My first time playing this game ever was a "casual match". Yeah right. Real casual. When the guy wasn't absolutely mobbing me, he was bagging. This game has a very human element to it. One which is super familiar to me coming originally from COD, and later "competitive" Battlefield on console, people are savages and if they can get away with making you look stupid they will go for that instead of going for the straight win every time. Not everyone of course. But alot of these punk kids. Take the Ken for instance, absolutely mobbed me. Twice. Two rounds to zero both times. But both times he ran with the win. He knew especially that second time that he could keep winning off me everytime probably, so why leave. Just to be a dik, that's why, and that's my experience far too often in this game. That's all I am saying. No tears. Just impressed there is that many a-holes on this game.

zangief VT1 moves back on frame1, same thing for EXscrew. it can be used to break a bunch of pressure strings. double lariat moves back on frame 5, that too is used in some situations.
