Obviously, Gangway were influenced by Pet Shop Boys for their 90s work, although they were somewhat different on their 80s albums (and debuted before PSB even). Neil Tennant apparently discovered them when he walked into a record store in Copenhagen and the man behind the counter put on a Gangway album. Neil Tennant asked him who it was and promtly bought every Gangway album he had in the store.

You are completely right. For some reason, in my mind, I had put Pet Shop Boys beginning in the late 70's. However, I never called then clones.

This is late 80's early 90's, it is certainly after PSB started. They've been around since very early 80's = beginning of time

How hilarious, I never saw this video before. I love Gangway, always have always will. And yes, Henrik Balling is a genious. Wish they would reunite and make some more cool music. By the way, I totally disagree on the PSB influence. Gangway always has been and always will be noone but themselves. They were too clever to let any influence show in their music.
