Two words: Gun Augmentations.

Your tier 5 weapons will hold 2 each. Put Small Fryer on that HP5 for extra damage on the digs, rolley polleys, and ticks. Titan Toppler on your large weapons like the LMG, Rocket launcher, and .50 cal.

@FroggyTWrite go to the crafting bench and choose the weapon augmentation menu. You can select on the weapon of choice and apply buffs to the weapon. There are many to choose from which are unlocked by performing certain tasks in the game. For instance... the HP5 SMG. Great for small adds, as it's a 9mm. You can add the Small Fryer augmentation (unlocked by killing a number of small bots like the spiders, dogs, and ball bots) and the augmentation will boost the damage dealt to those small bots. The Titan Toppler augmentation deals more damage to the large bots like the tanks, harvesters, and firebirds. Unlocked through killing a number of those bots previously, so it is great to use on the LMG, rocket launcher and .50 cal. Each augmentation has 3 tiers that provide increased buffs. They cost materials to apply to the weapons.
