It breaks my heart to hear her say she blames herself because she let it happen. I hope when she heals she learns narcissistic abuse and full of manipulation and you staying with someone despite their actions and how they treat you is not your fault. You were manipulated and gaslight into thinking your thoughts and feelings are crazy. You are a victim of abuse I hope she heals and learns this is not her fault by any means

@@amyroddick4693she isn’t responsible for his behavior, she is however responsible for how she responds to the behavior. She says herself she knew there were signs but ignored them. @amyroddick4693 she never said it was 100% her fault she's being an adult and realizes she played a role in the situation as well by not walking away. She said multiple times she saw the red flags early on (even breaking up but got back together), her family/friends also saw red flags but she stayed thinking it would change. He sounds like a horrible person and will get his karma but he didn't hold her down and force her to be with him or believe his lies she did that herself. But that was a life lesson and she will be better in the long run because of it

The part that really stood out to me is when Bri said, “I was made to hate so many things about myself I once loved.” Narcissists want to tear you down because your good qualities threaten their power and control over you. So proud of Bri for speaking up and not taking the $12 million! Very impressive!
@patricknorris7616
@patricknorris7616 2 ай бұрын
Yea it’s impressive until you realize Dave paid her $10m to tell all on the podcast. Brianna is playing victim and it’s pathetic. Zach hasn’t said anything public and she claimed he was the greatest thing ever until they broke up. If she’s that easily manipulated, she needs to work on herself and stop blaming others. Anyone who supports her clearly voted for Kamala.
@jaredmello
@jaredmello 2 ай бұрын
@ how do you know Dave paid her $10 mil?
@patricknorris7616
@patricknorris7616 2 ай бұрын
@ haha how did you not know this???? Did you actually think she was taking the “high-road” dishing intimate details of a relationship that she just got out of. Not to mention she got dumped, her feelings are hurt and she’s playing victim. A girl who allows a man to be emotionally abusive for a year and then blames him is crazy. Such a victim.
@jaredmello

@@patricknorris7616 you didn’t provide any evidence and proved you don’t understand narcissistic abuse.
@patricknorris7616
@patricknorris7616 2 ай бұрын
@jaredmello you think way too highly of people. Why do you think she’s talking publicly on her podcast about a high profile ex and making defamatory claims? Especially since he hasn’t said anything publicly about her. Do you think she’s doing it because she wants to help women so badly and this was the only option? No, she me more likely doing it because it helps her career and is going to make her tons of money. This podcast generally only draws like 200k views per episode and this one is tracking for 5M views. That means they’re getting millions of people who don’t usually watch this show to watch, and they will most likely retain a percentage of those viewers and that will result in her making way more than $12m over the next three years. Not to mention that it is normal for big celebrities to have exes sign NDAs. I’m sure Taylor shift has had Travis kelce sign one and every woman Drake has ever dated has signed one, that is normal for celebrities worth hundreds of millions of dollars. If Brianna felt that she was emotionally abused by Zach and wanted to help other women she could have done so without defaming Zach. She in no way is taking the high road in this matter and people supporting her like she’s a hero are nonsensical. I also blame Dave for encouraging her to do this, especially when he’s profiting more off this than anyone.

@mntwinsfan1988 I think that you legit missed the whole point here. You choose money over ease of mind? Bri literally explained it perfectly: What am I going to do? Buy a house in four years and have to thank the man who completely destroyed me for the money to keep me quiet? Like truly, did you think before you commented this? Bri was somebody before Zach Bryan and she will continue to grow her career after him too. She doesn’t need his money. What this world does need is a wake up call to the type of people we make famous like him and how much they get away with. So many people have similar stories, and by having the ability to share this, it is freeing. Not everyone cares about money like you may do. I know I certainly don’t.

I agree with others that it seems like he may have been physically abusive as well, and she just can’t put that to words right now. I could be wrong but either way respect the fuck out of Bri and wish her the absolute best. She may share whatever she wants and put this to rest as she said. “He broke me down and then made me feel like he was all I had left” This line broke me. I’m recovering from something that probably is similar in a lot of ways to her situation. I’m still only 34 mins in, but this got to me big time. I was so alone and I had nobody I could talk to or turn to. The people I was allowed to speak to got tired of hearing me excuse the severe emotional and physical abuse and the trauma that made me rationalize and empathize with the very person that was destroying me and taking away who I was piece by piece. I’m so proud of her for not allowing him to take her voice away, too.

@Tjtpwk I agree what she said came off totally wrong. But she was there and also SA'd. If you really listen to what she said she was warning young girls not to hang around the old guys at the bar. That is ADVICE that if they would have had, it wouldn't have happened to them. Yes she said it wrong but she was trying to warn young women on things to do that can prevent what happened. If I got SA'd because someone spiked my drink and I tell everyone now to watch their drinks....would you call that victim blaming too?

truly no one understands how soul shattering it is to experience a relationship like this. i’m still currently trying to get out of one exactly like she explains. my family turned against me, lost all my friends, the job i loved, blew through all the money i had saved and completely lost the person i knew and loved. and the funny part is that i realize how stupid it is to stay and continue to go through this pain and heartbreak yet i cannot bring myself to leave. although hearing someone who’s done with it explain everything in words i could never put together truly does help so much. losing yourself is such a scary thing and my heart goes out to anyone who has had the unfortunate experience of that happening. thank u bri for ur courage for speaking out, i really don’t know if you understand how much you are helping people dealing with the same/ similar situations

@victoriabarrow5166
@victoriabarrow5166 2 ай бұрын
@@stephen3762your comment proves the point of the OP. Abuse isn’t just physical, it’s emotional, psychological, verbal, financial, etc and far too often people don’t know what abuse is and isn’t. I have no idea who any of these people are, but her story mirrors a lot of DV survivors including my own. Perpetrators of DV are trying to get power and control. They undermine you as a person and use brainwashing techniques including isolation, humiliation, accusation, and unpredictable attacks. I’m not saying the perpetrator necessarily planned to brainwash in their minds, but during their life, somewhere along the way they developed the ability to justify their treatment of intimate partners (shown by his inability to take responsibility for his actions in any meaningful way). No partner should undermine you as an individual, punish you when you’re doing well (aka her on tour and him breaking up), display hot and cold actions as they see fit (dumping her and crushing her hopes of a life together then taking her back then crushing her again), etc.

This describes how it feels to be stuck in a manipulative toxic relationship to a t. The saddest bit is I deeply resonate with how he cut her off from her lifelong best friend and stood by him when he treated her friend like crap. One of my biggest regrets that I still get choked up thinking about for not only excusing the way he would treat my friends when he was wasted but then letting him isolate me from them and downplaying how awful he was. I know people have given her a hard time about being closed off in the past, but she was clearly trying to cling to something that she felt she couldn’t lose that was slipping from her grip. I don’t blame her. I’ve fallen in love with men who didn’t deserve me, as many women have. Luckily for most of us, it wasn’t on display for the world to see. My heart goes out to her. I hope she heals and finds herself again. I followed her beginning in 2019 and looking back, she has changed so much for the better but it also seems like there’s a light that has gone dim. She’s not saying it but I think he put hands on her. $12 million is in that territory. Someone else will come out later with it. If he got to this point, he took it further. I’m so sad but so proud of Bri!

Agree. If he was smashing her phone, smashing glass near her, and stuff like that, he likely put hands on her. And even if he hadn't YET, the longer she stayed, he would've eventually...they always do.

Bri- I can’t thank you enough for being so vocal. The emotional and mental abuse I experienced from my ex actually became physical abuse for the first time after Zach’s Nashville show in June. I also stayed because I loved him, no matter how unfathomable the behavior was. Thank you for being a voice for me and other survivors. Your validation is indispensable ❤️

I commend Bri for being so brave..she’s been in so much controversy lately and this explains it all…he took her sparkle and it’s nice to see Dave and Josh supporting her to get it back. This reminds me of the Bri we all fell in love with before he came into her life. Never even knew of the guy before she started dating him. She’s gonna be fine without him and she’s gonna be so much better for it. We love you Bri keep being YOU

As a survivor of narcissistic abuse really similar to this, it’s really hard not to blame yourself because you “know better.” Time (years) and research about how abusers function helped me to forgive myself for not leaving sooner. They all work from the same playbook and normal people aren’t expecting the people we love to be so deceptive. I’m proud of her bravery for sharing this story and hoping she gets to a place of gentleness on herself.

“I was made to hate so many things about myself that I once loved” hit me so hard I actually started crying. Wow I have never heard something that I related to so hard. My goodness. I wouldn’t wish this kind of abuse on anyone. It really ruins a person. My ex used and abused me for two years and still to this day he randomly pops back in and it still to this day fucks with my head so badly. Just a text message from him everyone around me sees my whole demeanor change. Ugh.
