I find myself watching your video's more for your interesting commentary, don't get me wrong, you're an amazing rc av8r. I recently reentered the hobby after selling all my stuff because I was intimidated by the Government and their remote ID BS. I decided to continue doing what I love, thanks for the inspiration. Thanks Scott! RID is nothing to be afraid of...It's just the precursor of every other aspect of life. Soon they will have us logging ever bowel movement so they can tell us what we did wrong. I mean, we lived through Covid, so we know just how far these tyrants will take things! Seriously though, the Federal Government is so far out of control, it's like, how the heck could they even do what they say they're going to do with regard to RID - what a joke. RID will fall flat on it's face, or it will work. If it works, fine...who REALLY wants civil liberties anyway??? If it fails, ummmm, okay, I'll keep flying as usual. What I mean, is okay, we can fight tooth an nail, and raise holy hell, or we can just do what we're going to do anyway, and force them to take action on what's mostly unenforceable anyway. For now, I think they'll probably just back off the date AGAIN, but if they don't, then they'll just have to face all the people who don't give a #2 about their opinion. Sure, some day, they'll come knocking at doors, but hopeful a few brave will stand up for themselves at that point... Happy flying!!!

Thanks Brian, I started 1960 Cox Dauntless,P40 all control line ,now at 75 full house gliders, Piks, Multiplex Big Lift with Moki 30, Extra 300 electric, loved them all especially f3j competition in Australia. It has become expensive, yes life happens. Thanks Mate👏

We can't wait to be telling you all more about it, but boy-o-boy, we've been watching many a cautionary tail on KZbin about leaking ponds and all sorts of very expensive headaches we could run into, so as far as the civil engineering goes, we are thinking it may end up being worthwhile after all? Great vid and plane. Love mine. I just looks so good on the ground and in the air. The D18 has such a wide flight envelope from mild to wild, although I do prefer to fly it scale. You're right about the ground handling. It can be squirrely with the differential thrust. My field has both geotex and well kept grass. I find take offs and landings are easier from the grass.

I bet they are! We need to get the grass in on our grass strip, and then rent a small roller, so I can make it buttery smooth, but fear the compaction might kill the grass. What do you think?

@@BrianPhillipsRC My Club field grass gets rolled at least once a month from April through October with no ill effects. Just don't do it when the ground is really squishy after heavy rains.

Congrats on pond! When we moved to be right between a small park and a water feature, I now only fly floats or small Park friendly things. I miss the cool ducted planes, but I don’t miss the 30min drive to RC field.

Can't wait for the water feature, but I CAN wait to pay for it :(..... Oh well, can't take it with you when you die. Hope we get it situated so we can really capitalize on the space for videos. Megan and I are getting excited. I think the additional money for civil engineering will be money well spent, but just HATE to "have to" do it to appease the county, who is arguably the LEAST impacted of all the entities involved.

Speaking of just barely clearing the trees, I thought about you flying the Fox and remembered I had a similar experience.. I was flying my A7 along my property line and all of a sudden it started flying backwards and crashed... There was a bare tree about thirty feet or so on my side of the property line 🤦 ..... I cut it down for that! Bad dead tree! LMAO 🤣

Hey Brian happy 4th, thanks for helping me out with the battery situation on the 15th anniversary viperjet. Try to get ahold of radiomaster tx16s transmitter they're reasonable and well-built they are color touchscreen which is very large and every access that Spectrum has is in that machine they start at $200 affordable and very well-made I dropped a SIM card in side the unit and had to open it up to get the SIM card out the tray sits a ways back. Please get one of these radios and check it out the color touchscreen makes it a lot easier it does have the scroll will but don't have to use it as much again happy 4th

Thanks Brian and Camera Crew. I started watcing about two months ago. I'm in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. I also like and there is plenty of room for lots big flaps downunder. I have a Private licence and just dipping into buying first RC plane. May I ask two questions that may make a good video to kind of tie all of the beginner information that you give. 1. What is the difference or advantage between the DX to the IX series radio. I plan on getting either the DX10 or IX14 (just to spend money once on a do it all readio and I like the large colour screen on IX, but is this just a size envy or a real advanage!)? 2. I love the scale look of Cirrus v2 and I have bought it before a trainer incase it not available in future, can the GPS and Landing assist module (safe plus) be added to this aircraft and to any aircraft or is this Landing assist module only for the slow training style planes? 1) Good thought. If you're going to invest in a Transmitter, don't chase good money after bad buying a less than needed Transmitter ;) As for IX vs NX - I would not get the DX, since they will lose support eventually, in that their processors are too slow for some of the new, up and coming features...stick to NX or IX. IX is going to be using Android, and NX will use Spektrum's proprietary system....so, you'll have one more layer of potential for firmware changes, FYI...not a deal breaker, or maker in my opinion. As for quality, you'll get the QUALITY you need from NX, but more simplicity on complex planes and heli's on the IX. More frills with the IX, but none that are going to change the way you fly, just easier to setup, AT TIMES... I'd get as many channels as you can afford, like the NX10 will be enough for most, but if you want max bang for the buck, I'd suggest the NX20 - BUT I doubt you'll ever use that many channels...in fact, I bet you'll struggle to use all 10 of the NX10 - I've only done it ONCE. ONE TIME!!! I have hundreds of planes, fyi. bprc.me/NX10 bprc.me/Tx 2) The short answer is NO, but ACTUALLY YES, you can fit it to any plane, if you want to waste a TON of money on the Rx system from the Carbon Cub S2 1.3m (which is NOT beginner friendly, if you ask me - I would NEVER SUGGEST THIS, as it would be a fools errand by the time you got the $300 or so tied up into the "upgrade" quoting US pricing, mind you, and then for what? A plane that will arrest the rate of decent for you....you can do it. You will NEED to do it, and I wouldn't even add the LAS (Landing Aid Sensor), if you were flying the Habu STS 70mm, or the Carbon Cub S2 1.3m, for which it was developed. You don't need it, or want it. It will make an already easy to fly plane, boring...don't do it. Hope these answers help, and please read them with the understanding that I want for your success, and don't mean to be short - you don't need the help you think you need...I'm speaking from experience.

Hey, I Need your help I have realy Big Problems at the landing, i cant handle it when it Rolls on the frontwheels. It slides to the Right and cant bring it Straight or left. Trim is in the perfect middle, in the air it flight Straight and if i roll before start it Rolls Straight. Dont know what i did wrong Hope you can help, Big thanks
