Brian. Wow, now that's what I call a hu-u-u-ge crash for a hu-u-u-ge plane, keeping things real and light for your followers, and giving us something to think about the next time we hit the park to fly. And for a little extra clarity, those last few frames look even more amazing in 1/4 speed playback. Your video crew got the shots, held nothing back and stuck with it until the very last piece of foam. When it comes to RC education, your channel is one of the best for product reviews, build outs, setups and flights. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I’ve had spectacular crashes in the years of the balsa/monokote models where there was nothing left bigger than a popsicle stick! 😂 I’ve also crashed my PZ P-47D Thunderbolt foamy in a similar condition and it was far worse than this!!! 😂 I glued it back together and it still flies to this day! For viewers new to the hobby, he saved this plane!! If he wanted to, he could rebuild it with foam safe CA and epoxy. In short, basically anything can be rebuilt and I can testify to that! 😂 Crashing and rebuilding is just part of the hobby. It happens to even the best like this cat! If he wasn’t on the sticks, believe you me, it would be 10x worse!!! Haha Happy flying!

I love this channel very much and I am very sorry about what happened to you. I don't think it was a pilot error, but a wrong setup. From your comments in the video I gathered that you fly with differential thrust. Never fly with differential trust in curves because the stall tendency of the inner surface increases due to the reduction in propeller speed and the reduction in airflow speed. Maybe I am wrong, but I have already had to try it out the hard way with my HU 16 Albatros. Best wishes from Bavaria!

RIP to the ec1500. Now I have a question and need some advice from the lovely people here because I am struggling to make a decision on a new radio and plane. I started about a month ago with a carbon cub S2 1.3m and can fly it in expert mode fairly easy but still striving to get better. The plane I am working towards mainly is draco because I absolutely love that plane but really need some recommendations for my second plane and really want one with flaps and preferably bind and fly because I want to learn everything. Next issue I need some advice on is a nice programmable radio that will last a while. I would love a touch screen radio but I could live without it and I originally was eyeing the spektrum ix14 but just to expensive for now so I have narrowed it down to 2 maybe 3 possible choices which are the nx10 which is the no touch screen option or the radiomaster tx16s mark 2 max 4 in 1 or I have read that its a possibility to use a frsky x20s with a 4 in 1 module on the bind and fly planes. The majority of planes that I will be flying will be mainly horizon bind and fly or PNP and from FMS. I will be flying some helicopters in the mix to so please if anybody can throw some advice my way on the radio options and some recommendations on a plane I will be so so very grateful because I feel like I am drowning in a sea of transmitters lol. I have watched sooo many reviews and setup vids on these radios it is truly nuts and it all boils down do I want to deal with the complexity of the radiomaster or frsky so I can have my touch screen or lose the touch screen for the less complex programming option. PS truly sorry for the super long winded comment but trying to give all the information needed to give advice

Sorry to see this, but props for admitting the error! We all make errors, and being able to see them and admit them makes you the better pilot for sure! I can 100% trust a pilot who admits their mistake, because they(we) learn from it. But conversely I have issues with deniers, and on occasion they make me nervous to be around when they're flying.
@BrianPhillipsRC9 ай бұрын

@@BrianPhillipsRC Totally! BTW..... I should say that there are obviously many different styles of YT presentation but yours is exactly what I like to see in a review video. another amazing review. love it. can you review XK K127 rc heli please and is that good for beginners ?
@AerialRCFun9 ай бұрын
Appreciate your flying things at the edge of the low speed envelope so we can check it out. Of course, low and slow leaves no margin for error so incidents will happen every now and then unless you overcompensate the other way and approach / land unnecessarily fast which is what most RC pilots do it seems.
@RCGuyVideosАй бұрын
Excellent flight review! The close-in flying and acrobatics to push the edge should be how most all RC review should be done! Great camera work too. I've gotten so bored of "maiden" flight videos now. RC reviews should be done well *after* the maiden so we can get all the inside scoop on the capabilities of the plane. Taking off and flying in a level circle then landing does not make an exciting RC review! 🙂 Lastly, even though you crashed, the crash happened after we saw its capabilities and the crash showed us how this plane can stall. That looked like a too high AoA stall. Actually, maybe all quality reviews should probably end with a crash! A crash that pushes the plane a bit too far so we can see what happens. 😋

Hi there. Can I make a suggestion (request 😀) for a video please? Something to the effect of "make your first flights stress free" I'm a naturally careful guy (50 year old engineer and never broken any of my 10 RC cars) but I'm just about to get into planes (almost certainly with a 800mm Draco, a 1.5m Crescendo, and an NX7e transmitter) and I'm thinking about my procedure for my first few flights (probably just use the glider for my first 10 or so flights to gently get the hang of things before then gently using the small Draco) I want to do everything possible to minimise the stress of worrying about crashing, to feel like I'm making logical progression with each flight, and to ultimately stay safe and do everything in my power to not trash my planes. I'm familiar with pre-flight checks of safe flying area, control surfaces, correct operation of AS3X and SAFE, so I'm thinking more about keeping the first handful of flights fully in safe mode, just doing very gentle circles and figure 8's, practising gentle glide in's for landings, getting used to controls being reversed coming towards you, etc. Then, being aware of not getting overconfident too soon, start taking it up higher and things to practice out of safe mode. A video covering all of this sort of stuff could be really helpful to beginners 👍
