I agree fully Brian! My 2021 Camry XSE Hybrid is super smooth with the CVT! I have zero complaints! I’m sold on the hybrid models now! The Camry XSE Hybrid rides as confidentially as my 2019 Camry XSE 4 cylinder gas model does! Fuel economy is absolutely incredible! I’m looking forward to having many many miles of pure unadulterated enjoyment with the new car! I have only been using the “normal” mode so far. Celestial Silver with Cockpit Red interior is quite the color combination! Just no complaints! I definitely like the RAV 4 hybrid equally. You have done a great job of explaining this RAV 4! Well done Friend! Nice to see you back posting again! Have a great week ahead! You are appreciated by many! Always with full respect! Mark in Iowa.

@@brianruperti Any experience with the newly reported issues with the High voltage cable deemed Cablegate? It’s the only thing that scares me about getting this car.
@brianruperti2 жыл бұрын
There has long been a fix and it was never as big a deal as people made it. Toyota made a silly mistake making the cable cover an upward cup shape that caught water. They have remedied it by making a drain hole which prevent water from catching.

Hey Brian, great videos. Plenty of info and no music or frills. Just how I like it. I have a question. I live in Toms River and commute 60 miles to SI everyday. Would paying the extra money for the hybrid make much of a difference being it's 95% highway?
@brianruperti2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Depends on how much extra. If the price is $3k more for the the hybrid, ya sure. $7k difference, I’d go gas for all Highway but that’s just me. The hybrid does drive a dot smoother though. But the LE gas is just so simple and that is nice too.

Got the 2021 Rav 4 Hybrid XLE... I think that's better than the 2022 which I'm hearing is having issues with the engine. But one thing about this vehicle that I miss about my Prius V is that it doesn't run beyond 2 hours (sitting). The new hybrids have shutoffs that the dealership couldn't tell me how to stop this. Also the XLE model has more USB plugs too

HI - thank you for this video. I just got a very similar trim model last week - as a company car. I never even sat in such car before. I drove ir already for over 1000 miles during the 3 days I have it. Few questions: TBH I hate the drivers seat - mine is adjusted manually - as the one in this video. Unfortunately there is no lumbar support and the height adjustment of the seating area is not enough for me - if you pump it up the whole seat rises, not only the front of it, as you might expect and experienced in other car brands. Therefore I cannot the proper driving position. The steering wheels does not have enough regulation either - just wen I think I have my correct and most comfortable seating position - in the given circumstances ofc - it turns out I barely touch the steering wheel - and need to destroy me nice seating position by moving the seat forward. My knees, spine and the wrists get numb after few hours of driving. Not good at all. 25:09 - doesn't it annoy you? every time you I in the left side mirror I instinctively move my head as my brain thinks there is an obstacle in the mirror - but this is only the reflection of the damn "beauty" fake aluminum trim.... Overall very nice car. But the driving seat awkwardness (manual adjusted) is killing all the joy of driving it. In my case of course.

I feel that if you get the base trim of any Toyota. Toyota will nickel and dime you on everything. I’m shocked this car doesn’t have push button start, no auto headlights, no power driver adjustable seat. I get it, to put in the hybrid powertrain and have standard adaptive cruise control, Toyota needs to cut cost somewhere. I can tell you that not having keyless ignition and entry is very inconvenient, I’d have to dig out the key every time I get in the car. And the rav4 hybrid is not cheap either, dealers want over $32k for the LE. So basically most of the money is going to the hybrid powertrain.
