I went Truck shopping and things escalated quickly

Let's go vehicle shopping. What started off as a trip to look at a new pick up for dad ended up with three new vehicles coming to Brown Farms.
The first vehicle that was purchased was Mrs. Brown's new Chevrolet suburban RST. Then the next day dad and I went to look at a new 2022 Chevrolet 2500HD Silverado it was in red and I knew at that point it was coming home with us. Then two days later while driving to a wedding I spot the pick up that I was looking for. I ended up finding a used GMC sierra 3500 Denali and I ended up buying. Both pick up trucks are equipped with Duramax diesel's and will be used on the farm.

I am about the same age, a little younger, than your dad. From that standpoint, it is with great reluctance that a man from the 1960’s will be willing to spend that much on a pickup truck. I saw many farms sold for less than what the truck price is. The farms are still there and worth many times more than the cost and the trucks are mostly long gone to the junkyard. So I think I understand the hesitation to buy from your dad.

I’ve been driving a GMC for more than 30 years. My current truck is a 15 Denali 3/4 ton and I absolutely love it. Pulling 10,000 lbs, no problem!

I love my 1/2 ton Denali. As a part time farmer, I love that tail gate.. in a year of use has provided to be anything from makeshift anvil to taco bar. Congrats to Kayla and the Old Man.

Know when the boss drives to town and you stop at supermarket and she takes off and you go and run an errand make sure the key goes with you. You'll drive away fine bit when you go to leave you will do the pocket slap and realise the keys are 2 miles away..Nice to see good vehicles all round. You all work hard and sometimes it's just nice. I just hope that GMC has sorted out their Allison in name only 10 speeds and them grenading in just 30k miles. Certain incentive to do it cause of the amount of replacements under warranty that was happening.

I am more of a Ford guy but that GMC looks great very nice. I do have an old GMC 2500 HD and it was my first GM I ever owned. I will say it has been a good truck and fun to drive. It will pass everything but a gas station. Have an Awesome and Safe day.

I drive for a Chevy dealership and delivered a new 2500 4x4 gas,yesterday. Drove and ran fine. A lot of different road scenarios, from interstate to local, to hills. Mileage seemed to be in the 14 mpg. Plenty of power. And I would consider buying one. Wouldn’t consider a 1500, with all the lifter issues.

Dont use the tail gate button from the key fob or dash is you have a hitch in the receiver. The multi pro tail gate will hit the hitch.

Brian You need to look at the rimrock bed boxes, Love mine. can keep the factory bed and have a heavy duty toolbox laying in the bed. They arent junk like pack rat or deckd boxes, super heavy duty, check them out

Went on a road call on Monday and while I was there I was talking with the operator and she told me the best thing I could do on purchasing a new truck was to go through the commercial sales to buy a new truck. She has a 3500hd cc, lb, 4wd loaded and waited 2mo for it to come in and paid $55k out the door.

I like the idea of a long bed truck and diesel. Myself I would need a dually because of payload capacity. I would also choose either a Chevrolet or Ram truck myself. Ford would be a last choice. They are all good truck brands. The most basic is what I prefer.

Nope we stick with our pre emissions trucks and just intake exhaust and get calibrated power solutions for good safe tunes cause we do not want to deal with anymore emissions crap than we have to and have far less troubles

👍👍👍 black is my favorite color and GM is my favorite truck. Kala’s meal wagon- Wow (nice). Dad’s truck is also a nice truck, 👍👍👍 you all have made good choices. Just keep an eye on the drive shafts, I worked for American Axle in three rivers, Michigan and when we did the shaft’s here we made the best drive shafts here, but they sent the shaft work to Mexico in 2008 and they had big time problems with the weights falling off, with the trucks you bought, they have aluminum shafts and are more prone to falling off, so keep an eye out for that. Congrats 🎊🎉🍾🎈
