4:21 notices how in the first 9 minutes of the episode it was a full recap before Yhwach regained his powers after 9 YEARS. Pretty smart on the studios part. And yeah, the Almighty is one of the OVERPOWERED abilities in all of anime and manga. Pretty fitting actually for the son of the Soul King.

If you didn't understand Yhwach power here's this episode only explanation: So as Jugram said, Yhwach when opens his eyes he can see and know which is about to unfold, which means that he sees the future and anything Yhwach eyes sees like every power and moves he sees in the present as well in future, becomes powerless and cannot kill Yhwach. That's it, Yhwach can see future and any power he sees becomes powerless and cannot kill him

I think in the manga it was stated that all those power that he has seen will become his ally so Yhwach used the very black/darkness consumed by Ichibei during the ritual to blast him into pieces.

I think Uryu's shrift works differently but no less broken. You see a hint of it in core 2 when the Quincy King escapes Squad zero's cage.

For example Uryu can never use it on someone like Mayuri because he previously landed a killing blow on him during the Soul Society arc. If he does he receives the massive hole he blew in Mayuri's chest and instantly kills himself.

[Tidbits] - It's believed that much of the content of this episode was mostly done around the release of the previous season, so some speculate that there could be a separation between the quality of this episode and the rest of Cour 3. - Uryu's seems to use a Partial Volstanding which takes strong visual resembelence to his former "Letzt Stil" which makes sense given that the Volstanding is practically an evolution of that technique. - Uryu won using a technique that seemingly altered his posistion or circumstance with his Enemy, we saw a similar thing occur in the last season when Yhwach swapped places with the medallion to escape the cage. As you noted Uryu is also "A" we just don't know what his "A" stands for yet (but the story is giving hints) - Ichibei obviously shares visual ties with Buddhist monks. Buddha reached Enlightenment through suffering. Enlightment allows for a person to ascend beyond the cycle of life and rebirth. I find this fascinating in that Ichibei's technique was meant to remove Yhwach from the cycle, yet he views/uses it as a means of punishment. (It's almost as if he's somewhat of a perversion of what the Buddha is meant to be) - Just a note for anyone confused. Yhwach's power "A The Almighty" makes it so that anything he sees he will "know" and any power he "knows" will become his ally. Those powers cannot be used to defeat or harm Yhwach, which is why he easily beats Ichibei. This power is especially dangerous when you factor in that he can see into the future as well. - Sidenote: In Buddhism it is implied that a Buddha has a limitless life span, I presume Kubo merged this concept with the idea of names so that as long as there are those who know Ichibei he will never truly die. - There are unique circumstances revolving around the 0 Squad and life/death which isn't revealed into later using light novels (I wont say what because it may be added to the anime) - Sidenote 2: The voice actor for Uryu let us know that we may want to view this episode a few times over and pay attention to what Uryu is doing. (I presume that has some implications as to something unique or special going on with Uryu and his powers/Like what happened with that drop of blood or his eyes turning Red?) - Sidenote 3: Ichibei said, "I don't need you to kill him" fans should definitely question why? and best believe you'll get an answer. I personally think Hogyuoku Aizen would've defeated Squad Zero. They struggled to defeat the sternritters and Aizen is on a level above them. The only one Aizen may have had some trouble with is Ichibe, but since the hogyuoky makes Aizen literally immortal. I don't see how Ichibe would defeat Aizen with his black ink. The hogyoku could remove the ink just how The Almighty removed it. In addition, Kyoga suigetsu could help Aizen, who never used it against Ichigo. This theory is proven by the fact a side character (Ichibe) cannot defeat a main character (Aizen, Yhwach, Ichigo). Only a main character can defeat another main character and this has been proven. Ichigo defeating Aizen. Ichigo defeating Yhwach. Yhwach defeating Aizen, etc. If Aizen had made it to the royal palace, the only who would've defeated him, would've been Ichigo. Ichibe would've lost to Aizen due to plot
