I swear at its time when published, it got me pretty depressed reading that because of what I was going through. Isshin and Masaki's love is probably one of the purest, most wholesome, and surely THE best love story ever written in a shonen manga.

Also, I know it was a long time ago but if you see how Isshin saves Masaki from the hollow inside her, it's the exact same way Ichigo grabs Rukia when he he saved her from execution 😭. Kubo really cooked with this part.
