This is the episode where you begin to realize that Jojiro, Yusa, and Ayumi teasing Yuu and Nao about liking each other was actually legitimate. Nao secretly watching and protecting him while he was spiraling, but forcibly stopping him before he could hit rock bottom, is much deeper than her feeling partially responsible - it showed how much she actually cared for him.
