0:08 this frame is fundamental for those who still don't get the importance and the cultural relevance of abstract painting. the core is: there's no "war" in art itself, look at those two paintings for instance, so different in many aspects, quite the opposite of each other, but still there's a tangible connection and comunication between the two. it's simple, yet it's extraordinary.

About 25 years ago, I was living in New York City and I saw a little inch-wide painting, a calligraphic piece in black and white, an ad for a Brice Marden opening. I knew immediately that Marden ranked with the great painters of all time.

Colour and Line are very basic expressions and they can get very strong - its a rhythmic feeling that here seems very organic , very fluid. It gives a feeling of blissfull sensuel movements.
