Amazing! Do they still use the english and flemish bond in modern brick structures?
@peoplestvbypiyush6 жыл бұрын
Modern times have changed the materials but techniques of bonding are still used

It is very interesting, our school- which was constructed in the early 1940's and prior to that uses mostly stretcher bond but in a very unique spot it has involved English bond also. I am yet to ask about the history of the school. English bond is used only on the second levels and only once from the ground to first floor. I am wondering what brick style of bonding is used below the English bond on the second level. for example; it is bricked from the ground up to the start of second floor and then integrates to English bond on the second floor and I am wondering how it transitions from stretcher bond to English bond, can you shed some light? kind regards, oskar@@peoplestvbypiyush
@peoplestvbypiyush6 жыл бұрын
English bond is a evolution and combination of headers and stretchers so it would have been easily transitioned from stretchers by putting headers on it and than putting stretchers forming a typical english bond

kzbin.info/aero/PLX50j2HV43tf2Y-eXyZIbvFcf-D_HvImy You will get all kind of walls in this with thickness up to 2and a half brick
@peoplestvbypiyush5 жыл бұрын
It depends if you are creating a load bearing wall and how many floors will be on it As the floor increases thickness of wall increases or you have to take RCC suppprt

@@peoplestvbypiyush I will just do it one floor, will be use as a garage , with a clear plastic roof.
@peoplestvbypiyush5 жыл бұрын
Yeah ok, if roof is lightweight nd you not going to put ny weight in it than you don't require ny REINFORCEMENTS in your brick walls nd piers Try to make good foundation for them

Piers is pronounced peers. One syllable. Great video - just thought you and non-native-English-speaking viewers should know.
