It's not exactly "heavily inspired". Even if its reskinned and is remodeled into Legos, it uses Gorilla Tag assets and uses in app purchases. So, in a way, its making money off of Gorilla Tags models, which is why lemming takes them down. I'm pretty sure that Lemming only takes them down when that happens. But if you don't make money off of the copied fangame, it shouldn't have a reason in that topic to be taken down.

The game was shut down for earning money off gtag asset which is copyright also its just gtag but the redone it which makes it a copy also as its "heavily inspired" its still classed as a gtag copy but the really bad thing is that they was trying to earn money of gtag's assets so it has to be deleted but now idk if the people that spent irl money for ingame currency get it back but if they try to release it again on the meta store and manage to it will probably lead to court.

Brick Tag is 100% a GTag copy, they used the GTag maps but then used a blender plugin to convert it to Lego, they used the GTag hands on the player model, and they also most DEFINITELY used the GTag project as a base, as the inventory, ATM, computer, and other stuff works alot like in GTag (a little TOO much). And not only that, they also have their own In-App Purchases 💀💀💀 Another Axiom 100% needed to take it down

The reason why brick tag got taken off the store: the reason why it says that the app is unavailable, and it can’t get more people, because of copyright, it was very similar to gorilla tag and legos, so it’s possible that gorilla tag and Lego possibly sued brick tag or copyrighted it, after the game has been reimagined, it’s still copyrighted as it still keeps the gorilla tag monke, and Lego design

While I'm all for cool new games that use gorilla tag physics and even similar gameplay mechanics, Brick Tag is one of those games that are TOO similar to Gorilla Tag. Lemming made gtag's physics open source so that other creators could get inspired, not steal his life work for some money. Brick Tag stole and re-skinned many assets made by Lemming, and then had in-app purchases, literally ending with them making thousands of dollars off of Lemming's hard work. To all those wanting to make fan-games, do something like Big Scary or Monkey Doo, both are amazing games with unique and original ideas!
