It's actually fascinating, that something is made up of fairly rigid parts can end up so elastic. It's basically the same for molecules: take some singular molecules that are rigid by themselves (so that you can not force them to change their shape) link them up together in a veeeeeery long line and you get rubber.

Interesting thing about rigid structures is that they get more flexible the longer they are. A tube of the toughest steel several thousand kilometers long could be tied in a knot if you wanted without compromising the structure. This illustrates that concept perfectly. I’d love to see him do a ring of this stuff. Or a sphere. Although doing a sphere would probably take several thousand dollars worth of Lego blocks and I can’t even imagine the size required to do so. It’d definitely be one of, if not the largest Lego builds ever made.

My personal favourite would be the big green donut which - despite it being very illegal along with almost all your builds - I find fascinating. Just as fascinating as I find your abilities to come up with these Lego ideas and build them. I've recently been introduced to the craziness that is watching your videos on 2x speed. Watching at the intended speed is beautiful and astonishing; Seeing the incredible things you can create and the mastery with which you create them is the absolute epitome of art. Watching at hyper speed highlights a sense of whimsy and reminds me that, no matter how complex these builds are, they're made from toys after all... And I can laugh at the double-time click-clacks of the pieces being put together like you're a robot in a factory. (Not to mention how hilarious all the ring-style builds look when they're spun at higher speed than normal!) In all honesty, all it does is make me watch your videos twice. So in the beginning when you unfold your first and second rings, you are taking the same pieces connected in the same way and turning them from a thinner, less-dense arc to a wider, more-dense arc. After the circle has been unlinked and you turned it into a spiral over itself, can you still perform that same motion in reverse? i.e. can you stretch the outer part of the spiral to make it longer and thinner without disconnecting anything?
