i like these bricklaying related vids a bit different , lost count of the ham sandwiches i must have taken to work over the years , remember as a young lad late 70/s atarted on a job as labourer they had a basic shed for tea breaks with an old hob for fry ups , the fat was left in the pan overnight and in the morning you could see mouse footprints in it ! just got melted and the bacon went in

It was always a joke but I have seen Irish Groundworkers cook a full breakfast on a shovel over a fire not that long ago, mid 80s.

@jackrussell9811 Yes, I remember those old wooden sheds that were used as "welfare accommodation" - and I use that term very loosely....!! If we had any piling being done on sites, we would get the piling chaps to do us a nice deep under - reamed pile in some remote corner of the site and the the Chippies would build a rudimentary timber "Thunder box" over it. some copies of the Sun & Mirror cut into squares for bog-roll and the jobs a good - `un. 😁😁

Andy, You were mentioning in the comments a while back that you thought that conventional bricklaying videos on social media had run their course, and there wasn't much further they could expand. Well here is your answer = Diversification, and your doing it with this video...😁👍 There appears to be a never-ending appetite for Bricklaying videos on social media, and I reckon the secret is to have your own specialty. Charlie Collison, does the new build in his own inimitable way and tries to encourage the youngsters coming into the trade. Steve & Alex, have their own style and have probably captured an older audience for their work......and so on. Anyway, diversification is the way forward... How about some episodes entitled, "Hod & Chips" or "Brick `n Chips" or "Builders Breakfast with Andy" where you demonstrate the old Navvy technique of having a fry up on a number 12 coal shovel over a coke brazier.....lol The mind boggles..👍👍👍
