As Karipos said below, global classes is what you need to use. It’s way more powerful than Elementor’s method and is used is almost all the other page & site builders for WP. 🤘🏻 The hover method is a bit of a PITA and not the most intuitive until you get used to it.

I'm using elementor from 2017, and I like the wealth of 3rd party plugins that helps me to achieve almost anything I want without a coding (not a master of that one..,). But couple a days ago I tried to do GSAP horizontal scroll on elementor elements (not putting everything in HTML element, which works ok) and I found out that that is not a simple task.. At all. The main problem is elementor frontend css code itself, and that code can't be omitted from the webpage. I tried this with the bricks (first time bricks user) and the result was fantastic - the animation worked without a problem, just like with the plain html. css and js! So I decided to dive deeper into the bricks ecosystem and use it for project that requires complex animations. Not leaving the elementor entirely, though, because I developed my business around elementor and it will take some time to make complete switch..

Nice video! Setting up global styles for your typography (or anything ) is easy using CSS utility classes. So basically as one coming from Elementor, you'll need to acclimatize with using classes heavily to enjoy using Bricks.

Great video! About the global styling for typography, you should use classes. It's one of the most powerful feature for every type of global styling and there is no limitation. Just apply a class style it one time and you can reuse it

Cool! I knew an experienced Brick user had a solution! Before El had globals I created my own with css and just added the class to each title and text widget. I have a feeling it’s something similar but more efficient with Bricks. I’ll be testing the globals with classes next. Cheers!

Huge con for elementor is not having a lifetime option, I hate subscription model for software. Bricks will I think get tons of users for this sole reason, not everybody want to pay every year for a website which don't need that much updates. Plus crocoblock seems to be more and more integrated with bricks, so mark my words ;)

Very meaningful video, thank you. There are already vloggers who encourage the switch to Bricks, even though they are well aware that it is still a fairly new tool, although it has great potential. I'm interested in Bricks, but I judge with caution, I am not in a hurry to make decisions, although there are things I don't like about Elementor, but for today it is one of the best solutions. As you say, Bricks can be one of the tools in your toolbox. We'll see what tomorrow brings

Great breakdown on Bricks! It definitely seems like a "Webflow" but for Wordpress sites. But yes definitely will need some more development. I like the fact that it has kinda more of a "developer mindset" interface, which helps you not loos things youve learned with CSS. After trying Elementor for a month I would like to try Bricks to see how it works first hand.

As an Elementor user this is so interesting. Definitely staying with Elementor but you never know what happens in the future. Always good to know you can learn anything, probably would take a week off just learning if I HAD to switch. :D One issue I see is: It'd be even harder for clients who wanna change things on their website later themselves.

@Lytbox I feel like you and I are at a similar level and use Elementor in similar ways. I am wondering if you've had your mind blown by Dynamic Content for Elementor like I have recently. JetEngine is powerful but DCE is next level. It opens up so many new possibilities I didn't know about, and let's me build much smarter sites than I could before.

I think your comment that resonates most for me is that using Bricks is a pleasurable experience. There's something that makes it just feel good. Your opinion of gloabls is interesting, personally I find the Elementor global settings a real pain, the Bricks ones make a lot more sense! But when it comes to fluid typography what the guys at Breakdance has done is really good. Looking forward to your Live with Imran!

I’m not sure why they aren’t using grid instead. Flexbox has its issues and is normally only used now for inner content because it cannot create row column combination layouts. I haven’t used any page builders either so I don’t know how much goes into creating one myself.

Grid is coming up next for Bricks! Both have their advantages.
@animedreamz2009
@animedreamz2009 Жыл бұрын
@@LytboxStudio grid I guess would be difficult for no n developers to understand. Given chrome & Firefox tools have the ability to show grid column and rows. Flexbox can only do one dimension layouts. Personally as a developer I cannot get used to the bloated layouts visual editors produce. That and I’ve since moved into the 3D space with three.js which has its own issues embedding that into a Wordpress site.

You hit the nail on the head with “master your tools.” Great explanation of the product! As you very well noted, it’s about what’s going to work for the client’s project to deliver the desired results! For me, I’ll be glad when the devs of all the builders deliver more in their core products without the need for endless 3rd party plug-ins! For right now in my stack, Divi, Bricks, and Elementor are my lean of products!
