love the new one alot it fixes many of the issues from the original the new mech looks great both combined and seperated despite the flaws the original is still really cool and one of my favourite ninjago mechs

Ultra Combiner is clearly better, but in a way that transparently owes everything to the first steps that Ultra Combo took. I'll adore the original Ultra Combo Mech forever, but this second iteration carries over everything that worked while tightening up every single bit of slack there was AND introducing crazy new ideas like Big Zane and a dragon component to boot. Truly an instant classic

Zane's Ultra Combiner Mech solos the old one by a long shot It would be cool to see something like a dual combiner mech, where the mech is formed by 2 vehicles instead of 4, maybe with a pair like Cole and Jay, Arin and Sora, or Kai and Wyldfyre

I still to this day believe the worst part of the old set is the stability, I still spend like 2-3 minutes to get it to stand every time I want to display it.

Just so you know, you have a typo in your description, the new mech says it is releasing in 2022 instead of 2025. Also, I have the old mech and plan to buy the new mech for sure!

Both sets are great in their own standing but definitely they made things much more fluid with Zane's version.

I discovered, that you can tuck away the smaller arms on the original combo mech, by straightening them up and moving them back, so that they sit right against jet's sides, they in fact fall into place so well, almost as if that was an intended step someone forgot to put in the instruction! 2:48 The oldest one I remember, that uses rubber in its feet is Kai's Fire Mech from the movie in 2017

Both of them are absolutely amazing in their own ways. But you can see the new one has some improvements that come with a few more years of experience, practice and design time. And simply the fact they can build upon feeback from the previous one. Truly it comes down to personal preference. If I could only have one I would go with the original because I simply like that style of combining much more. But I can't wait to save up for the new one.

Alongside Lloyd's Forest Dragon, and Ras's Mech Dragon in the Storm Jet, Lego is doing another set in 2025 that uses a new print for Riyu's head mold, as a Stegosaurus head. "Spin & Electro's Dino Racers". And it makes me want to see something, so I'm suggesting it to you: A Miles Morales Dragon moc. Sort of like a reverse of your Ninjago Battle Bus video.

I want to see a little bigger one in the future with more Ninja represented... for about the same price point so plebs can maybe afford it. There’s room if you consider both legs and both arms account for but one ninja each. Giving each limb it’s own coloring and pilot would be a bit heavy on the megazord vibes, but that’s okay. It would also lean toward more variety of weapons and gadgets.

I’m kinda split here. On one hand, Zane’s Combiner Mech is an improvement in every single way, but the Ninja combiner looks much cooler and mechanical. It feels very reminiscent of Voltron and Power Rangers. However, it’s very hard to pose and easy to fall. Zane’s mech, however is great for play, posability, and great to split apart. So practically, Zane’s is better, but as a design, I love the Ninja combiner mech.

You should try replacing riyu on the mech with the green forest dragon. I think it would look better with the forest dragon than riyu because the green would pop more than the bluish-gray

Hi Mind! I recently rewatched your "Every ninjago ninja minifigure every made" series and I have noticed that you have missed a couple of unique minifigures. There were magazine exclusives of the ninja with unprinted masks. For the most part, that goes for SOG and Hunted minifigures. Those were released in magazine foil packs and did not have symbols printed on the masks! Here is the list of such minifigures with their bricklink numbers for easier research! I also included a couple of other minifigures you've missed. SOG Kai (njo391a) - unique mask Hunted Jay (njo509) - unique mask Titanium Zane (njo251) - unique mask SOG Zane (njo471) - unique mask (comes in a book) Hunted Lloyd (njo516) - unique mask Skybound Lloyd (njo193) - unique black armor, only appears on Lloyd in one set Hunted Nya (njo475b) - unique mask Unprinted ninjago movie nya mask appears in Black Wu Cru Nya foil pack (njo433) Monochrome dark red Samurai X armor appears in Samurai X Cave chaos set (70596) Lego Ninjago Movie Cole without arm printing (njo363) There are also two different 2013 golden Lloyd minifigures! The one from the 2013 sets and the other from lego Dimensions are actually different! Back in 2013 Lego released a shiny gold Lloyd, but then for Lego Dimensions they re-released this figure in pearl gold plastic. The difference between those is clearly visible. 2013 minifigure is more "shiny" I would say. I was on the fence about the new combiner mech. The lack of knee joints ruined it for me (I'm spoiled by Cole's Titan Mech). But looking at it again, its kind of growing onto me. It may not have the same poseability but it is an imposing mech and the vehicles they separate into are actually pretty good.
