If you do the math it’s actual a very similar number of new figures per wave nowadays, just -2012 had 2 waves for one season, nowadays each season only gets one -we get more unique ninja figures now than we used to -there’s two more ninja than there used to be -we get more side characters now than we used to

I recently picked this set up in early July this year & I have to say, it’s one of my favorite Ninjago sets of all time along with Zane’s Ice Tank from movie & Kai’s Golden Dragon Raider from this year’s Crystalized wave! SO glad I own this now! It comes with my favorite 2 ninja, Zane & Jay, it comes with the better version of Zane’s Snowmobile in my opinion, & I think this a really solid & unique villain vehicle with some great villain figures as well for 2012. Absolutely love this set even after all this time & all the other Ninjago sets we’ve gotten since, 11/10, would highly recommend!

I do think modern ninjago does give the ninjas a bit too many vehicles compared to the villain's. I loved the faces on the serpentine vehicles, good stuff.

As much as I liked the Master of the Mountain and Crystalized waves, 2011-2014 was definitely the peak for the theme in terms of variety.

2012 was Ninjagos peak for sure in my opinion. Getting 17 different villains and so many vehicles for them was just epic. Seeing the villain vehicles from recent waves just make me sad. Most of thw time we don't even get villain vehicles. And the ones we get (take the EVO snake vehicles for example) are just awful.

One of the things I liked in older seasons/sets was that the bad guys where actual characters instead of clones. They all had their own names and had thoughts of their own, while nowadays it's just one design over and over again, following their master. Even some nindroids had their own thoughts but ever since scrolls of forbidden Spinjitzu, it's just a army of mindless soldiers.

Love this set and the 2012 sets overall. The Rise of serpentines is still one of the best seasons and has still amazingly designed sets. Would love to see Ultra Sonic Rider set review, that is still one of my most favorite Ninjago sets of all time, or if you have the Temple of Airjitzu set that would be an amazing review too.

Got this set around 10 ish months ago, and honestly it's a really amazing set. I just wish we'd get more villain vehicles, because the few we get now are great, but they're usually for the main villains. Also I'd love to see a review of Cole's Tread Assualt, I was hoping legacy would remake it, or come back and remake but that's probably not gonna happen any time soon.

If you have it, I'd love to see the Fangpyre wrecking ball set. I was so happy to get this set recently, sealed for a great price, and I loved putting it together. It is a wonderful set and Zane's Snowmobile is just as great as the Truck. Fangpyres are also my favorite serpentine tribe so getting Fangtom and Fangdam is awesome.

I really don't know why we didn't got an bad guy legacy/core set for the snakes or the others. Only Ninja vehicles with MAYBE small villain builds. I mean that's something the fans and the little children would buy. But hey, at least we get 3 Kai vehicles in the next set wave. HOPEFULLY in each of them are at least 2 Legacy Kai and 2 Core Kai minifigures. Thank you.

Did anyone ever confuse Fangdam and Fangtom’s head pieces. I personally didn’t but I found my cousin and a few people online mixed the black scales head on the tale minifigs with the white scales head on the legs minifig, it’s just something I didn’t think was that commonly mixed around

That green spinner top with snakes is so much more effective than anything they tried doing for the vermillion armies. And yeah, Monkie kid is the one who can beat these vehicles in quality just thanks to all the variety of enemy factions, but the sheer quantity of high quality enemy vehicles is still unbeaten in these first Ninjago waves
