Train station needs to be an additional baseplate long. It looks off compared to the lengths of the train. At least the platforms need to be train length.

In that empty corner beside the train station you could put a couple of the electric scooter charging stations (set 40526) or some bicycle stands.

I LOVE how you move from one area of the city to the next each day and mix it up. I assumed you might try to keep a more linear progress/process from a past video where you vlogged about wanting to finish one area at a time, at least that was the impression I got, so I'm happy each time a video starts and I see you head somewhere new from the day before. Keep it up. Great entertainment.

Looking absolutly amazing Bricksie! Fantastic job with the train station! A small suggestion perhaps; but two columns in between the tracks of the station to support the roof, would both improve the stability and help with the realistic look? :)

Go Simon! Hey Bricksie just an idea. Maybe have him do base construction stuff. Mils plates, train track, building trees to your spec, etc. That way he can hand you a canvas and you can just start going to town. Love what you're doing and keep it up!

Nice that you adjusted the train track in the station. Would you consider extending the platforms a little outside of the building so that more of your train wagons are actually accessible when a train stops? What you also could do to get rid of that incline in the track entering your train station. Reduce the mills support by a plate or how many is needed and add some layers under the plate near your boardwalk to make it level with the surrounding city.
@andrewmoyer3332

Awesome job with the train station. A suggestion I would have now that everything is millsplated aprund the station is on the side where the down town is, you should make some custom building to blend in that side of the station that way it isn’t just a station and then green area around it. Just my opinion I just think the station would blend in more and still give it that downtown train station feel
@TheDutchStarWarsGuy

The improvement looks great! Just order like a million green 4x4 plates and 2 million 2x4 tiles lol. What I would like to see is the transition between your city/the road plates and then the nature where you have the station. Maybe some kind of fence or something, give it some thought.

You can do a small corner park instead that hill, it will add more story telling, some kids on swings, a little water fountain
@JulieS261
@JulieS261 Ай бұрын
It looks like you will have to move a couple of buildings as the doors (backdoors?) open up straight onto the rail track. Also the corner near the station where you are building a hill (mound) is big enough to add a building. In reality most downtown areas are mostly buildings, especially near a train station. You can put vegetation in-between the tracks or on the side near the residential area.

Having tracks slope up into a station and then down after it is done sometimes in real life - so your decision to leave the Studgate station's track higher fits with that. For shorter trains (like subways or regional passenger trains) where the train can fit on the flat higher section at the station the slopes help the train slow down coming into the station and then to accelerate coming down after the station.

August and you could take that design with different colors to have like 4 to 6 cars racing Baseball field, Soccer field or basketball court near the residential area?

I cant tell you how glad I am to see you work on the train station and suburb area more. I gotta say that has been the least inspiring portion of your city so far, knowing it obviously hasnt been finalized or completed yet. I just think it got glossed over too easily, especially being next to the downtown area. I figured you had a pretty good idea of what to do with the area like you have done with downtown. Also I think you need to go ahead and removed the countryside so you can have some availbale peices for other areas including all those base plates

WOW. New train station and tracks look great! What you might want to consider long-term for the train station roof, just because of the bowing you mentioned (which was also apparent on the video), is adding two studs to each side of the actual roof instead of using the Technic extensions. But hopefully that won't be immediately necessary, and for now you can carry on with existing city rebuild plans.

It's a shame how the geometry on the standard Lego train tracks works out. The closer spacing in the original station looks better IMO, but it just doesn't integrate with the rest of the system properly and causes too many other headaches. Either way it's a great building.

I think you're going to need closer to 50 baseplates for the amusement park area. You might want to consider moving the gray baseplates from the countryside to the amusement park... but it looks like the gray baseplates are 1.5x the width of the green ones, so I suppose it will depend on what fits... and I guess the gray will be hidden by landscaping bricks in the countryside anyway.

Yet I keep wondering why you're (still) not considering (or in this video even mentioning) to use 3rd party track. I know you know it exist ;) It would help streamlining your layout soo much! Is this prohibited by LAN? The need for Flex in your S-curve makes sense btw. Only lego switches contain the correct swiffel to accommodate the 16 stud shift...

Hi Brixie. I really live the new space, but I fear you may be making a giant display for your official lego collection. If I may suggest. I would use the area between the subs the city and the mountains to make a custom cyber city that leads into a medertranian or flavela style mountain side city. Also make a display on the left of the stairs.. up to above the hvac vents..(if legally possible) to display all the ninjago in the clouds. I remember how much you loved the displays at lego headquarters. Sorry for the long comment. Happy building.
