Showing different lego build techniques always makes a great episode. Secondary part use absolutely fascinates me.

Nice video! I don’t know why people complain your channel is just about spending money, when here you are going through your spare parts and building amazing trees! And also explain your process while doing it!! Love the work you’ve been doing, Hope comments like this stick with you over the negative ones. 🙌🏽

Hey Bricksie, I think I adding tiles to the while and green leaf elements would help fill out the tress more... 1 x 1 circular or those quarter tiles
@rosemorrison7075Күн бұрын
Hi Bricksie. I really like your creativity. These trees definitely look snow-covered, but with enough openness to show the green elements beneath them. Trees are extremely difficult to build when you want to show special effects, but I really think you have created unique solutions to problems we have all faced. Thank you!

Those trees look great. That's a really neat design that should be pretty adaptable to different variations. Some all-green ones lower down on the mountain will fit right in as 'summer' versions and be a nice transition with elevation. The angle of the branches splaying out from the trunk can be adjusted here and there to give a slightly different shape from tree to tree. You could add 1-2 more of the large leaf elements to each assembly to make the bottom wider and make the taller ones more tapered. Awesome design!

Make hills of snow behind the houses and put trees on them
@supernovaskyКүн бұрын
My only critique is you mixing two shades of green on an evergreen tree. Not sure how it is in Canada but evergreens are typically consistent in color unless they are dying, diseased or covered in something.
@barbarjinx3802Күн бұрын
You’re a tree herder, an honorary Ent. Nice job with the snow covered trees. I think you can let the leaves be hinged out more so they look more substantial.
@paulchalcraft3 сағат бұрын
I agree if all the branches were hinged out more they would look more realistic
@logandrums23Күн бұрын
Down the road, you could build a tunnel over the tram in the back and then add trees, or anything, behind the houses for depth and height!
@davidrendsburg9363Күн бұрын
If you use an octagonal piece for the bottom two layers of the tall tree, you can probably add enough leaves to flare them out in eight directions, giving it a tapering look
@HuxleyBerg21 сағат бұрын
I think the super tall and skinny ones will fit in much better when they are surrounded by other trees. You won’t see the bottoms much, only the tall tops! Ur chillin

One suggestion I had that would show off the trees and such is to have the mountain built up in the background as the top of the mountain with the winter village nestled in the lower area. Would take some parts for sure. I love the trees though. Thank you for showing us how to make them!
@mr.sherrill913716 сағат бұрын
You could try to add extra leaf elements onto ends of bottom branches and raise their angle to give the bottom more width, maybe overlap some in middle and leave top just 1 element and tighter angle to tree.

Lego trees have come along way since the classic pine tree moulds and Fabuland.

IDEA: A water tower in the winter village so fill some space behind the buildings, cover it in snow with a birds nest on top and a custom BRICKSIE name on the side maybe some icicles on the side and guys working on it

If you want it wider at the bottom you could add the smaller Lego leaf branches and add them to to larger ones you used.

When Lego ships from Denmark, it comes Canada Post so you won't have them until the strike is resolved on top of the standard wait times. However, the 'best seller' parts comes UPS so you are in the clear if you wanted to go ahead with that portion.

Not having the needed parts whenever I have a building idea is always so disappointing. I'm waiting on Standard parts from October to ship. Standard parts have been shutdown until sometime in January. Excellent tree tutorial!

The plant leaves 2x2 with 4 petals and axle hole (bricklink part # 15469, official name PLATE 2X2,2/3 W/KRYDSHUL& CROWN LEAF) in white, only ever came in 2 sets.... Lunar New Year Ice Festival, or The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron. It looks like LEGO isn't even selling them from Denmark in white. If you want more white ones.... resale market or pick a different colour. The Light Aqua isn't terrible.... sort of looks frosted as opposed to snowy. However the other leaf elements aren't sold in Light Aqua....

Great tutorial. I used model trees and other modelling techniques this year instead of Lego (how non-purist of me) might need to “branch” out and try this. Maybe even non-snow for my castle scene 🤔
@JordanMeyer-gc4vvКүн бұрын
Would it work to use the smaller leaf element as you move up the tree and maybe angle the branches out a smidge from top to bottom to give the narrowing effect? Either way I'm gonna be building some of these!!!

The trees look good! But you are not kidding when you say it takes forever for pieces to get delivered from Billund... I am still waiting on parts that I ordered in beginning of October.

awesome, i could use some of these in my winter village! Love the larger size!

Would a snowy hill behind the winter village both hide the backs of the buildings and give the trees some height without being too tall giving you more resources to make more trees? ❤
@graylagran7443Күн бұрын
I think the trunks need to be able to swivel so all the layers aren’t stacked in a column. The trees need more “movement” 😬🤍🤍🤍

@heathkeefer493823 сағат бұрын
do you have any of the old stump pieces? i wonder how your trees would look inserted into them with a lot of base foliage to hide the gap in size. i also wonder if there is another piece that might give your trees less of a pointy top like maybe the 2x2 round part with the rounded bottom, might be to blunt though.
@brickademy23 сағат бұрын
Are those not bestseller pieces? Or does it take so long even for bestseller parts? For me it is aroind 2 weeks for bestseller and since i am used to having next day delivery, it is crazy long 😅
